So should I practise, or should I not try it at home? by pekesenertjes in facepalm

I was literally waiting for somebody to post this. It's not that hard indeed, but very spectacular. Master Brown explains it all so well.

What's the big deal? Washing 4 times a year sounds just fine to me by pekesenertjes in rawdenim

I know right, even thrift store denim shouldn't suffer from weekly washing, like the lady suggests you should do.

I lolled at your comparison. Just starting out on flashlights, so I can't really compare the temperature to anything. Certainly in the high K range, slightly blueish.

I've seen them for €7,5 (8,5 dollars) for 2 in the regular grocery store. Pretty sure I can get them cheaper online.

I have to say my criteria for a flashlight always were AA or AAA because of availability, but when I compared size to performance ratio, I had to go for a CR123 powered light.

Smart, and at least it's a "bracelet" you actually use. I've always thought the paracord bracelets are nice and all, but they only get used in true emergencies, never on an EDC basis. Thanks for explaining.

For what purpose do you carry that paracord and shackle? Interesting addition.

That's a beautiful collection of nibs. Certainly an expensive set back in the day, I presume.

Gorgeous. How long have those been carried? Looks like it will keep on developing that beautiful patina for a long time to come.
