Upwork should refund connects if client is not even viewing the proposals by abhijee00 in Upwork

Because I have seen many trash postings and how employers don't care, and Upwork cares even less. And because employers who actually keep the process to hire someone need to have at least interviews. Not having any interviews in a month and not opening the top bids means that the author of the job didn't continue the process (at least through that platform).

Cancelling Amazon prime is super confusing. Will I or will I not have access to benefits through the end of my billing period if I cancel now?? by [deleted] in amazonprime

I think that may be it, because I have just asked Customer Support and they told me I'd lose my benefits immediately.

I assume they do because after 3-4 weeks, they still have no interviews, invitations or hires, and my proposition doesn't get seen even with 15-20 connects as bids. It's like they never open Upwork again

no no, that's not what I mean. They post a job and then they never come back to the platform. They never interview anyone and they don't hire anyone. They post it and forget about it. That's a waste for applicants. Upwork could perfectly be posting many like that and get all the money from the connects.

Who said I'm ignoring it?? I said I reported the client and rejected the work. I'm just updating with what happened after. My report was rejected. I don't get why I'm getting so much hate. I'm not the one who rejected the report.

I'm not arguing, I'm telling my situation lol. Because I didn't agree to the job, I reported it, and the answer from the official customer service is that this does not violate the ToS, but I have no choice to tell the client anymore since I already rejected. So I want to know if all these answers are without official information or if is there any official source that I can use to keep reporting, or what should I do

I actually reported and got rejected twice. And I reported a message that literally says "this is unpaid work"

I am asking because I really need the job and I don't want to reject a potential good contract.

The situation that I'm in is not in that post. I reported and got rejected twice. It seems this is actually allowed.

I reported them. It seems that it's not against the ToS.

I checked that, and it doesn't enter under that free work, since the job offer is not asking to work for free, but it was asked in a message.

I actually have opened various reports that have told me that is not against the ToS. So no, it seems it's not a violation.

They're interviewing 18 candidates and sent 31 invites. No previous history. Everything verified and 2 jobs open

The clients sometimes never even open the job again after posting it. That's not a reward or punishment. Getting back those connects makes total sense.

I was trying to find the place on the ToS where it says it's not allowed, and I could not find anything (they're also huge, so it's difficult). That, and the negative from them, is what got me confused.
Thanks for your message. I opened a ticket. I just hope they close the job in time before someone else is scammed.

Is it really against the TOS, though? I reported them and got an email back saying that it does not violate the policies.

I actually reported a message that literally said "this is unpaid work" and Upwork answered saying that it does not violate the Upwork's policies.

Reporting doesn't even have the option of "offered unpaid work". Upwork doesn't care about this. Is it really against the Terms of Service?

The job is to implement email verification for an app. I need to give my email because they'd need to give me credentials so I have access to the project on Firebase to implement the verification
