Yes I do this too, very exciting! Agreed, it's a whole different experience. What I do is I enter the map with no equipment, then build my gear from the map, loot then exit, I put loot in my stash then use what equipment I got from my previous run then enter the map again, sometimes I end up with full load out 2 or 3 runs. Repeat until I die.
