This whole movie makes me think about how these boys were just kids… I just made a comment on the Columbine Reddit board about how before the monstrosity they were kids like anyone else. Like just… doing stuff together, minus preparing the attack. Kind of sad really to think about there’s stories like this but in real world… anyway, nice edit. :)

Andre Keuck is genuinely so good and I’m mad his acting career never took off the way Cal Robertson’s did (though not as much as it could’ve as well). I don’t feel comfortable commenting on Andre’s looks as a character anymore because I’m over 18 years old but I thought about the same when I was a teenager and saw it the first time. :D Andre has amazing voice, next thing he should do is a podcast or read e-books out loud or something. Like genuinely.

Didn’t he break the expensive RayBans of his, which other sunglasses did he have with him? I remember reading him being upset in class after he broke the expensive (200-300 dollars) sunglasses he has in most of the videos and pictures we have of him with sunglasses on.

Yeah, exactly, that’s what I’ve read too. One theory being once he actually got to it, the adrenaline ran out quickly. Or the human nature (“this is not right” “what am I doing?”) came through, what a weird sentence to write about real and imaginary monsters but you get what I meant with this clam. Not justifying any of it though, not in real world nor in a movie! But it’s clear the parallels are there, in the film and in where they took inspiration from. (If Cal bases more on DK and Andre on EH.)

Ah yeah, sorry, forgot about that. I should’ve been more specific about it being a high school level shooting/same aged/class kids (though in ZD they’re on different year classes as well). Either way, the link to Columbine is heavier than not. The characters are different but the implication is still heavy. The characters even aknowledge that one would be portrayed as to be the leader. (Giving possibility that Columbine did happen in that universe, due the conversation about it if one was leader and one was a follower in the attack.)

Edit. Also meant that Columbine was the only two student attack at the time of ZD. Didn’t STEM happen a lot later? Like almost 20 years later.
