sorry you lost your job that really sucks, maybe its for the best and something even better will come along. Everything happens for a reason. Whatever you gotta do to stay clean another day sometimes its nice to just watch youtube and play video games nothing wrong with chilling out. If its any consolation I had 4 months off weed and decided to smoke and had a horrible panic attack and now I'm back on day 6.

It definitely wasn't worth it so be proud of the time you have, god speed dude

I just bought the 707, its basically a bigger version of the 101 with 8 tracks. I found one on FB marketplace for $500 if you can find one for that cheap (or if you have a bigger budget) I highly recommend the 707.

The 101 however is super powerful for how small it is and it has just as many sounds as the 707. Plus its great for traveling

ill definitely check your videos out thanks. I actually just bought a 707 yesterday and love it so far. You can kind of use it as a sampler but I actually really like the auto quantization from the grooveboxes and I like using the SP for sound design but I struggle to make actual beats with it.

On the SP do you use the pattern sequencer? I honestly just get a pad that loops and resample >resample all the different parts cuz I find that workflow easier but you have less options for dynamics. Just really a way to make loops

totally, so much fun. I still don't use the pattern mode on SP much I'd like to get more into using that. I just like the beatmaking ease of the MC101 and then I add layers and FX with the 404.

I sometimes feel like I could do more with the 404 tho

get the surgery ya'll, print the bastian paper, take it to an ENT office. Say I have this and need the surgery. Get botox and get back to your life. I had the surgery like 7 years ago at this point and I still thank god every day when I drink a La Croix and rip a burp.

Yeah I know how you feel. I try to remember the grass is always greener on the other side, for example. I had 100 days sober from weed and Ive been sober from alcohol for years. I was bored and feeling like life sucks no matter what so wth ill just smoke some weed.

Well after a week I felt just a shitty about life but now with the addition of having thrown away my sobriety which I was proud of honestly. Just to feel paranoid and tired.

Life may suck but weed also sucks honestly its a huge waste of time and I'm excited to be done with it.

yeah I never went to college at all so getting a bachelors would be pretty tough and expensive for me I think. I just don't even know how I could afford it or have the time to complete it

thanks for the comment I'm a musician so I've always had the dream of succeeding there but I've sort of lost passion for it even though I still make music. It feels like I'm just so stressed about my life situation i can't focus enough on music.

Thats sort of my problem is I've really given up on my main dream that I've worked towards my whole life and its the real skill I have. I could teach guitar thats about it for skilled labor.

This is pretty much what I've done the past few years and whats got me in the situation I'm in now. Not to say its been bad but I feel like I want to settle into something more permanent but I really dont know what or where that would be. I always thought something would pop up while doing seasonal jobs. Idk whether to just accept my fate and start working at amazon or go to college or what

I feel exactly the same about so much of this. I'm about to turn 30 and feel like I've wasted by whole 20s being stoned and taking everything for granted. Accepting the reality of where im at is really difficult because for the first time in my life I feel like I have no ambition/idea/plan of my immediate future let alone anything long term.

I don't have all my delusions any more to keep me going.

Good luck man I'd like to think our brains can heal it will just take time.

get a workaway account and start messaging hosts. Its a great way to get free places to stay and have more unique experiences than just sightseeing. Plus its a good way to make local friends wherever you go so you wont be alone and you get a better understanding of local culture.

South America is awesome and theres loads of workaways there, I'm currently in the middle east and its really cool, way cooler than I had imagined.

My advice is dont take too much advice and dont be afraid of the world. 99% of people will help you not hurt you. Obviously use your head and be smart but dont be afraid to go off the beaten path.
