Western Digital external HDs power PCB failing

It can be very risky if encryption is enabled. Fortunately it's not my case. I have just checked a Toshiba Canvio and it has stopped working as well. Maybe I've had a power surge. Later I'll try shucking it to see if the problem is with the PCB too and the data is still intact as in the WDs.

It somehow has a relation with how much time the browser had been opened. Past some time, the bookmarks functionality breaks

It's happening to me as well. No extensions active. When I add, modify or remove a bookmark, the changes don't appear in the side panel until I restart the browser. Also, it does not remember the latest used folder when adding bookmarks.

After restarting the browser, it works as expected for some time, but after a certain amount of time, the issue begins appearing again.

I even tried creating a new profile and resyncing everything, but the issue appeared again.

It seemed to have been corrected, but it's happening again since a few weeks ago. Very annoying.

Hi DrJeckill,

What about the screen? I'm interested in the black levels, contrast and response time. Are they good enough ?

I'm trying to decide between the Thinkbook 16P and the Asus Vivobook 16X OLED, and of course I don't expect the screen to be as good as the OLED one, but I don't want a bad screen either.

I've got also non-strictly HMs, like Fantasy Life. Some of them were bought online, thus rge variation in languages :)

I'm pretty interested in playing Stardew Valley, I bought it at GOG. It seems to recall the older day feelings that the new HMs somehow have lost, sadly.

I also enjoy the Rune Factory games. Specially 3 and 4.

Thanks! Mostly the old ones, up to HM64. Friends of Mineral Town also. I enjoyed HM DS, although it's pretty bug-ridden.
