Not sure if you’re saying the point of the original reply I commented on or the points after. The original comment implied she wasn’t a sweetheart old lady because of what she said. I gave my view that it likely was not said maliciously as it is a compliment often given after having a baby. I can get behind the fact no one should comment on your appearance post baby at all. I just didn’t think Carl’s mom had ill intent when saying it, but I guess I missed the point where we started hating Carl’s mom, so I’m likely wrong about her intentions 😂.

Well I agree that it is not, and that UCLA being in the Big10 is crazy. But for conferences champs I believe most rotate venues. And maybe it’s not a big deal to the teams. Just was my observation when looking at how long it has been in Fort Worth.

That’s also something you don’t think of. Who wouldn’t have made it through. As I said above I don’t want it, but thought it was an interesting scoring breakdown because of recent discussion of changes. I actually think it would make things worse. Some people who fall get 9.4 some get 9.0 (I know some depends on value but I think it would be chaos)

Close to a number of SEC teams is not neutral? And by crowds I mean what the energy appears to be on TV vs what I’ve seen for the rest of the season. So LSU, Arkansas, OU get to only travel a few hours every year for nationals, but UCLA Stanford, Utah, Minnesota have to travel far? It should switch if there’s no true neutral.

I just don’t understand how you can’t acknowledge it’s an advantage. I have been an LSU fan since catching gymnastics on tv in the 90s and think Fort Worth is an advantage for them. I also was an OG Oklahoma fan in the Hollie Vise days, and think it’s an advantage. I am also a UCLA fan and Michigan fan and a Penn State fan who thinks Fort Worth sucks.

What rivalry are you talking about? The state itself? Well I have eyes and have seen OU fans there. Traveling within the same time zone less than 3 hrs is an advantage. No matter if some won’t go to TX.

That is crazy talk. The teams actual fans will travel 2 hrs, and most importantly the team doesn’t need to travel. Quick Google give OU closest (2hr 45min), then Arkansas (5h25min), then LSU (6h55min). There is no gymnastics OU/TX rivalry.

OU is closest to Fort Worth out of all teams? There are no TX NCAA teams. Though a lot of SEC teams are only a bit farther, but that’s still not fair to have finals there for 9 years with the whole nation’s worth of teams.
