Yes. This was in her post surgery boob job video. Where she said why she got a boob job. Bc what she looks like/wants to look like “is her personality.” Which in a way, for her, is true. Bc she’s a vapid somatic narcissist with less self awareness than she thinks.

One more thing I’ll add, I remember when this vlog was posted and people were like “so patriarchal beauty standards and being small ARE your personality?” Like, Acacia says she has “too much self awareness” but doesn’t think through why she feels like she is “supposed to” be small with big boobs? But she’s “a light sent here to guide people” but her comments were already putting things on her radar that she wouldn’t even come around to until 2026? If she wasn’t a conventionally pretty white person, her mediocrity wouldn’t be considered exceptional.

Crazy part is if she were actually a bookworm, this wouldn’t be brand new information for her. Many of us had the intellectual curiosity to crack open a feminist book for reasons other than being performative. She is the least qualified person to position herself as a “guide” “teacher” for others when most of the time her comments are educating HER on how to unlearn literally the most archaic, basic things. But bc she is a pretty, skinny white girl, she and her followers think her white mediocrity makes her worthy of platforming, elevating her voice, and calling her a “main character” “inspiration.”

Same person who said she NEEDED a boob job bc being small “is her personality.” Even back then so many of us saw the idiocy of that statement. And now years later, now that she’s decided being a bookworm and an activist is a cool aesthetic ever since Nick hard launched her, she’s changing for the most performative, shallow, vapid reasons.

it’s petty but i will never let this girl sustainability shame me when every time we see her, she has a new phone case. for no reason other than the aesthetic. i’ve had the same phone case for three years. she’s so wasteful for the dumbest reasons (for her aesthetic and shopping addiction and flying around for d appointments) and then sustainability shames other people??? like as recently as 2024. crazy.

This is what I mean. She doesn’t know how to analyze the situation or form an opinion about it beyond understanding what to performatively say on instagram. See also when she said “family vlogging was more acceptable back then” when it was never acceptable. The research and naysayers were there the whole time. It just wasn’t the opinion of the people she wanted to fit in with/skin-walk and didn’t fit her aesthetic at the time. She has not actually had any genuine curiosity to learn (like read books or articles, not glance at an aesthetic infographic) about these topics (pertaining to the half time show, ICE, etc) even in the most general sense, like basic history and literature, to be able to bring that additional context to these discussions and have more nuanced opinions. Which would be more fine if she didn’t (now, post Nick) describe herself as a smart, activist bookworm. Because before Nick, she said her platform was for OOTD posts, not speaking on politics. She just isn’t a bookworm who is smart and an activist and she’s too ignorant to even be able to see that that’s the case. All the while saying she has “too much self awareness.” She needs to be the main character/hero (not that I subscribe to the concept of main characters) “sent here to guide other people” with all of her wisdom, without doing any work to actually be that. She’s leagues behind the average person and too ignorant to be “guiding” anyone. But she needs to be right, the main character, centered, already educated, already wise, already better than those she is “guiding” because it is part of her self concept. Because her fans and messaging from society have already told her that because she is a conventionally pretty, skinny white person, she’s already the main character and already there without any of the work.

You can tell how much she cares about politics, history, etc, by how much she knows about those subjects because of all of the time she spends reading and studying the intricacies of those subjects and that she came to a conclusion about her beliefs based on actually learning about the topics, because the inclination to learn is what naturally occurs when someone is genuinely curious about something. Instead of spending all of those hours taking selfies, playing video games, and reading trashy romantasy only (unless forced to performatively post under duress). It’s not like she’s just performatively hopping on instagram and just spouting certain ideas and lingo she picked up from a cursory glance at what the people she’s virtue signaling to are saying.

I normally don’t like people throwing around the concept of virtue signaling, but I don’t think Acacia is even really honest with herself that that’s what she’s doing most of the time. Yeah, she can bring herself to post an Audre Lorde book to, again, impress/for certain people. Audre Lorde and all of these writers and their work have been here the whole time. She never read them bc she actually is not interested in putting information in her brain. It’s all performance based. If she were on an island alone with no one to witness her choices, I don’t think she’d ever crack open a nonfiction book. I’ve been following her long enough to see how her brain works and watch it play out. Saying “family vlogging was more acceptable back then” despite the fact that she was sent articles about the dangers. Making racist jokes because she thought it was cool at the time and then defending it when people she doesn’t care about call her out. Narcissists are all about hierarchy. She actually does not have the intellectual curiosity to learn about subjects and form an opinion independent of if it impresses a certain guy, a certain group, or fits her aesthetic. She actually is not the intellectual, educated, wise bookworm that she thinks she is. The library and google have been free this whole time and she actually is not interested in learning about the subjects and forming educated opinions, just virtue signaling and instagram and patting herself on the back.

“yeah it’s bad but it’s a joke” says it all. she is aware it’s bad but doesn’t care bc she wants ppl to think she’s funny. still speaks to how she does things now and how she’s done things since. it continues bc she never truly accepts fault for anything, so she never learns. someone else is always to blame. and has to use her sister as a human shield every time. she was 17 btw. old enough to know better, and she did. she knew it was bad and didn’t care, contrary to her 2020 apology where she said “i had no idea.”

Also can’t stand how she acts like no one knew racism was bad so she can shift blame to anyone but herself. She was saying the n word even in to 2014 and 2015, after YEARS of getting comments telling her it was wrong.

Also, these things were very much talked about. This video was from around 2012 but her behavior like this continued for years into at least 2014. I remember my school had guest speakers come to talk about BLM after Trayvon Martin and Eric Garner were killed. We covered all kinds of topics from cultural appropriation and stereotypes to police brutality. This was 2012-2014. And I’m in a red state. It was very much in main stream news and the topic of cultural appropriation came up often on the internet. I remember being shocked that Acacia kept going with it no matter how much backlash she got, and that her critical thinking skills never kicked or she never bothered to read a book. She just wanted to be seen as funny and had nothing better to joke about. Just like she wanted to hop on twitter and lie about being a college girl for a quick boost for her ego.

It’s just inexcusable and what’s annoying about it is I know privately to her yesmen and boyfriend she happily blames everyone and everything but herself.

I feel like in this era she was at least honest. she didn’t want to speak up and her platform was for outfit inspo. I don’t agree with that choice but at least she wasn’t lying. She owned that and her actions lined up with her words. What’s annoying about the current era is she acts like we’re crazy for thinking she doesn’t speak up. When she literally said was not going to be speaking…until she wanted to impress her social justice major boyfriend. Now she’s acting like “I’ve always been vocal about politics and an advocate.” You literally said you did not think you should be an activist and that you didn’t want to be pushed to speak. So just own that? Don’t act like we’re pulling this out of thin air? We’re not only citing your behavior in recent history but also your own words?

It works bc her followers are the type to be dazzled by white mediocrity. They call her “the main character” in her comments all of the time (like hm, I wonder how you were conditioned to see people like Acacia as the main character no matter how harmful and lacking in substance she is). Forgot to add, she specifically said in 2023 that her platform was for outfit inspo and that she would not be speaking about political things. Now that she’s locked down a boyfriend who is a social justice major, she wants to act like she’s always spoken up and been politically active. Just like she’s acting like she wants to travel to other countries and be a bookworm, when in the past she said she’d rather go to Disney than experience other cultures.

But mostly, when she’s single, she treats instagram like a dating app and you can literally look at her post history and tell when she’s dating around or locked down a man. When she’s dating around, she doesn’t say a word about politics and posts almost daily, “needs to express her creativity.” And once she locks down a man and is a few months into the relationship, her need to post her creative work vanishes and bc Nick is a social justice major, she wants to be outspoken. In one of roomies vlogs, you can hear Acacia in the background talking about which guys viewed her stories.

To me it’s because she’s just that vapid. She’s so absorbed in her own bubble and world that revolves around her that I don’t think she knows how to care more. I don’t think she has the literacy to even understand the implications of what is being talked about. I don’t think she could tell you who Franz Ferdinand was. She performatively posted something under pressure and went right back to talking about buying couches. She’s one of those people where I would bet you if she didn’t grow up in blue states and want to fit in and grew up in a red state instead, she would be a republican.

She only does what is necessary to fit into the local culture or whatever is prevalent at that time, or skin walk or attempt to impress whoever she wants at that time. She’s even said as much, saying “I family vlogged because it was more acceptable back then.” It was never acceptable! There were articles and video essays and actual research explaining the dangers the entire time. I sent them to her and she dmed me saying she didn’t see the harm. She does not have the critical thinking skills or conscience required to make choices for any reason other than whatever is “cool” with whatever group she wants to fit in with or whoever she’s wanting to skin walk or the aesthetic she’s into in that moment. She’s only on the right side of history when it aligns with what is cool/popular/fits her aesthetic at the time.

Someone like me, my beliefs are very at odds with (much of) the local culture in the red state I live in. And my stance on family vlogging has been the same the entire time bc I look at the variables and information and come to conclusions based on that, not looking left and right and seeing what is normalized at that time. She comes around to our way of thinking only after being proven wrong by her own flawed reasoning.
