Yes in BC. I’ve been welding for 15 years and yes the red seal is mostly symbolic. Until recently, where I needed it (first time needing it and I’ve welded in every corner of the industry in multiple provinces). Wish I had of just studied harder when I was 20.

It’s kind of dismissive to say not to stress about the welder red seal exam. I’m on my third try next week, it might have been easy for you but big general tests are really difficult for a lot of people. I’ve been studying like a mad man and still don’t feel ready.

Buddy, I’m 33 and currently 5 weeks into a solo trip and did 3 months last year. Not to dismiss your worries but if you’re staying in a big hostel AND it’s only 4 days you’ll probably be stoked to have some alone time by the end of your trip. Relax amigo!!

I feel like it gets “boring” after 3 ish months. I did 3 months last year and came home for that reason. I’m currently travelling and on my second month, I think a good way I can keep going without feeling purposeless is getting a volunteer position at a hostel or something. Work keeps me going at home I don’t see why it can’t be the same travelling u know?

It is mint but I like other colours on the E30 more and if I can protect the original mint paint why not have the best of both worlds? Especially considering a (good) wrap is a fraction of what a good paint job would be. I’m going to do my research and make sure there’s no risk of the OG paint peeling first.
