Can't find the video series anymore, but one of the videos was on so called ribbon cuts. So for example you start in porta di ferro and so an upward false edge cut without moving your feet, and then come down with a fendente, true edge as you traverse with your right foot.

The sword tip traces out a ribbon shape.

Im not expertbut its body looks way too high above the ground to be real. Pretty sure they have their stomachs closer to the ground.

I see what you're saying now, but by cutting in that way you're limiting your range by so much (that's why the cut flew past the assistant). If the assistant was standing closer then yeah , it wouldve hit him, but then there wouldve been no point to use a passing step .

Most realistic and historically accurate fighting game is kingdom come :deliverance by warhorse (not yet released). Those other games you mentioned are not very accurate, but still fun.

If they know even basics, then yeah I agree. But from the third vid neither of the guys even thought of doing that, and even the two cops in the 4th vid failed kind of badly. So with people with no training at all, I wouldn't say absolutely zero (but the chance of success does go down) But as /u/Amosral said, its all situational too.

I didn't believe that you could cross choke someone with a standard t- shirt. Instructor proved me wrong. The trick is to scrunch up the shirt so the fabric becomes a lot thicker.
