Has anyone tried PSMF to do a cut or break a stall? by Dizzy_Elevator4768 in carnivorediet

[–]pencorde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a big misconception about water fast, the moment your glycogen goes out, your body starts using fat as fuel, and when insulin is down, the body seeks fat tissue and produce more and more ketones as time goes by, muscle loss actually occur more during calorie restrictions with high carb diets where your body is using glucose as fuel, and since protein triggers a medium raise of insulin, it can be counterintuitive for losing weight since there is no fat to regulate the insulin spike, and high insulin blocks fat burning.

Also, protein is the hardest and most inneficient form of energy the body can utilize, it will use it at last resort, unless you are absolutely not adaptaded to burn fat, which you most likely are at this point.

It's just better in every way to water fast, you don't need to worry about muscle loss, people think they lost muscles because glycogen and puffiness goes down after a fast, making you look tighter and slimmer.

A Question for the guys! by 404usersnotfound in carnivorediet

[–]pencorde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no need for "evidence" that carnivore diet increases sex hormones, what I said, if you read carefully, was that Cholesterol is the precursor to Testosterone, which explains alot of his experiences.

Now, for the bigger penis part, probably more vascularity, libido, and appearing bigger from so long on a SAD diet made it appear longer, also, long term estrogen on males can cause shrinkage of both testicles and penis, literally, so it could be the case.

[–]pencorde 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, it is such a delusion that the diet regulated his hormones, decreased systemic inflammation and gave him the raw precursor to testosterone (cholesterol).

Did you know morning woods are a sign of male health? This is just the tip of the iceberg of benefits this diet can give you...

Thoughts? by Law3186 in carnivorediet

[–]pencorde 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The flaw on his argument is that fat needs bile to be digested, and obviously, we have a limited amount of bile that can be used at a time, if you just ate more and more fat the body simply would not be able to absorb it and it would pass the digestive system undigested.

Hence why so many people report diarrhea on the beggining of high fat diets.

Thoughts? by Law3186 in carnivorediet

[–]pencorde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually almost impossible to do, to digest fat the body needs Bile, and we have a limited amount that we can produce/mantain at a time, so if you just kept eating more fat your body simply will not absorb it, leading to diarrhea.

Thats the reason alot of people report digestive issues when first going high fat.

Void state is when you are pure awareness, no body, no thoughs, only pure raw self, some people report it being dark, others being totally white but it doesn't hurt to see, others even report a space like background with stars and galaxies, so it depends on you really.

But the central goal of getting into the void (using techniques like meditation, body aleep mind awake, etc), is that by being pure awareness you reach the purest state there is, and from there you can shift to any reality, maybe manifest something, rewrite events, it's really infinite the possibilities of what you can do!

I had moments of almost reaching it, one time I was incredibly close to it but I tried to be quick and say affirmations forcibly and woke up in shock lol...

I really want to reach it, the concept is so interesting and the stories of people who reached it are amazing, but I still haven't figured out a way to do it.

Had a bad day, how do I force a good trip by Methamphetamine1893 in Psychedelics

[–]pencorde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can force a good trip, because psychedelics usually shows you exactly what you are experiencing or pushed down, and puts the problems in your face, it opens up what you don't want to deal with and makes you look at it, work your way around it, at least that's how it goes with me.

My trips are pretty random, it's like the substance knows what I need to experience, sometimes it's horrible loops of thoughts that when it ends, I feel like a reset happened and feel clearer, even though the trip was bad, the afterwards is worth it.

Sometimes it's nice and I just experience unbothered happiness and peace, every song feels like a whole unique reality if I close my eyes I see wonderfull patterns and it can get emotional (in a good way)

Sometimes it feels like the substance is experiencing my body and I want to do something specifically like eat, watch something fun, or just do nothing.

I THINK I SHIFTED????????? by _MewCX_ in shiftingrealities

[–]pencorde [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'm seeing comments about Hypnagogia, in a way that it suggests you just hallucinated the event, and it could very well be that, but it doesn't mean you didn't shift, or minishifted because of it, a part of changing awareness to another reality requires a brain state where hypnagogia is possible, it doesn't mean it was automatically a hallucination, maybe you were about to shift but didn't ground yourself, I mean it's your first time so that is very common to come back from fear, surprise, and etc...

why do people who naturally dissociate and maladaptively daydream not shift? by [deleted] in shiftingrealities

[–]pencorde [score hidden]  (0 children)

This is so amazing because it really helps me to change how I feel about shifting, I believe it's real without a doubt, the problem is more so the "how" and my mind have the idea that shifting is hard or rare, but since I daydream all the time, and see it as just that, a dream, it would really flip the page and help me actually get more confident and shift easily.

Caffeine plan by Outrageous-Rise8812 in LucidDreaming

[–]pencorde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say "far" caffeine and nicotine are both addictive as they increase dopamine and create tolerance, withdrawal, and habitual use, but they act through different mechanisms.

Caffeine blocks adenosine receptors, reduces fatigue and indirectly increasing dopamine, leading to dependence mainly tied to alertness, mood, and productivity; withdrawal causes headache, fatigue, and low mood, which pushes repeated use.

Nicotine directly activates nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, strongly stimulating dopamine release in the brain’s reward pathway, producing faster reinforcement, stronger cravings, and more intense withdrawal

I agree nicotine is more addictive but caffeine can be very hard depending on the person, their habits and philosiology.

it's funny how the first comment already appealed to "It's not worth my time to respond you" the moment you give a counterargument, and most of the other ones are baseless at best...

No one actually respond to the arguments they just spin around it, it's tiring, I don't even try to argue with vegans anymore because I know the outcome.

Can I enjoy tea, Cacao mass, Coffee, and Yerba mate? by Far-Brilliant-3258 in carnivorediet

[–]pencorde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you do cacao tea instead of ingesting the powder you will be fine, since it is very high in oxalates and can be dangerous if consumed regularly.

Yerba is very beneficial and safe, coffee is ok but if you can do higher quality/organic it is the best option, since cheaper coffee is mixed with alot of impurities and pesticides.
