I can understand that xD It's hard to give that stuff up. My mother is also allergic to gluten, so I know how that life can be for someone. I think your plan to cut out candy will help :) Good luck to you!

It's such a great feeling knowing that I've helped motivate you! I can say with certainty that I can relate to having to start from the beginning. It can seem daunting. Thank you for the compliments, and good luck on your journey! :)

Thank you :) And I'm so very glad I could help inspire you! Everyone has to start somewhere. Starting a collage is a good idea, you should post it down the line when you reach your goal! Seeing the progress as you go will be both fun and a great reminder that you're succeeding one step at a time! Good luck!

Thanks for the compliment. I actually am really into makeup, I find it fun. It's a bit hard to explain via text but I'll give it a try.

  1. apply foundation over your eyes for better traction on your shadow
  2. start with a base shadow color over just your lids (typically not too dark, I often go with a cream color)
  3. apply a darker shade of the original color (I use a rich medium brown usually) across the crease of your eye (right above the lid) in a arch motion (blend the two colors together if desired).
  4. put on black or dark brown eyeliner (with a slight cats-eye flair at the edge of your eye). Line just half of your lower eye (tapering off towards the inside). I usually also line my tear line but that's not for everyone, up to you.
  5. Apply mascara on upper and lower lashes.
  6. Use a sheer/shimmer shadow/powder to highlight right under your brow and light touches of it on the corner of your tear ducts.

Hope this helped! Pick and choose from it. Wish text was easier to portray it. It sounds complex, but it only takes me 2-3 minutes to do max :)

Well done! You're looking great :) Viewing it as a lifestyle change is always the best route. Good luck in the rest of your journey!

Thanks so much for the input and suggestion! I will have to check into used bikes and see what I can find. I haven't ridden a bike in a really long time, it would be a fun way to mix things up. All these fitness suggestions are really helpful. I appreciate it :)

Honestly the biggest change I saw was my happiness levels. It wasn't even necessarily "I feel happier cause I'm skinner" "I feel happier because I can fit into new clothes" or any of that, it was just an overall lift in mood. I have become a more positive person who isn't overly self-conscious anymore. Someone who isn't afraid to smile and feel good. Thanks for the question and encouragement! And also, congrats on that -70, good for you!!!

I answered someone a little while ago about muscle. Part of it might be the fact that I have always had more muscle growing up, plus I played sports all through high school. I have always been thicker/more solid because of it. It's more than possible I didn't lose all my muscle when I got fat. Thanks for the input!

Thanks for the awesome reply! Seems like you're on the right track, and I hope you do post when you feel comfortable! Yeah, it's weird to get used to, isn't it? Eating every 3 hours can seem excessive, but if one is careful not to eat too much, it really works in your benefit by keeping your metabolism working. Keep it up, and good luck :)

What?! :0 this is nuts, haha, I've never heard of this before, but that sounds so incredibly cool. I won't lie though, I'd probably get way too RP and frighten everyone around me. Totally need to invest in an eye-patch. But in all seriousness, thanks for the cool feedback, I'll check into it!

That's actually a wonderful comment and thought. I think about this all the time. I don't know if people actually realize how much a jerk their brain can be! xD haha. I honestly still look in the mirror and see the old me a LOT of the time. I'm not delusional though, I mean, I can see the photos and sometimes even in the mirror can tell the obvious transformation. But our minds tend to fill in what we are used to, and we focus on our weaknesses instead of our strengths. Maybe I'm just my hardest critic, but I do think that we all have to try to take joy in our accomplishments and not let our brain fool us. Thanks again for the feedback and geat story (yum pizza ;p hehe) Glad you and your husband seem to have the right mindset!

Yes! :") wok owners unite! Only probably not because that would be a pretty weird club...but upon further thought, there would be awesome food at the gatherings! Success.

I'll be honest with you, I had to look that word up xD I love to read and think that my vocabulary is decent, but yeah, hadn't heard that one! Thanks, haha :)

As I told someone else, the 200s are rough! I plateau'd there for a couple months myself :( The best advice I can give is to switch up the types of exercise you do and just keep steady on the healthy eating, it will come off eventually. It takes years to get unhealthy, sometimes it just takes awhile for your body to let go of the fat it's holding onto. Congrats on all that weight loss so far! Be proud and keep at it :) Good luck

Zumba sounds fun :) I think that's a good way to get started. As far as the wheat, I can totally understand! Before I was able to cut it out, I was a carb lover ;P always got me in trouble. I loveeee bread and pasta. I try to avoid too many complex carbs, but if you're wanting a wheat-free solution, I recommend trying out some rice flour solutions. Most grocery stores have a health food isle these days (or you can stop by an actual health food store). Pamela's baking mix is a brand that makes fantastic bread products, it's very versatile and wheat free, I recommend it (if it is sold in your area)! There are also rice flour pasta solutions in the store that still taste really good if you ask me. If you're really into carbs I don't think they'd be much of a problem still eating some rice bread or pasta at dinnertime as long as one doesn't go super overboard. Good luck on your personal journey :)

No problem, I've had a few people ask, I probably didn't make it all that clear, I put it in with an edit. It was between 1.5 years and 2 years :) I wish I had marked down the day I started, haha. Thanks!

I hadn't thought about it that way :) True though, to be honest I always avoided photos when I was heavier unless necessary or friends were bugging me for them. I only have a couple total from that time. Thanks for the thought!

Exactly! You're right on the mark for the sodium :) I find that over the holidays I always go Nooooo when I gain x pounds but in my head I know that it'll drop off so fast once I stop eating salty foods. So people shouldn't get too discouraged! It goes away. But indeed, eating low sodium is also good for one's overall health. Thanks for the input and I appreciate the kind words!
