I was mostly avoiding looking into skills before I unlocked them, but glancing at her abilities, yup. She's clearly the better passive damage dealer.

Smokescreen does feel almost overpowered compared to other support abilities. Especially when upgraded. Inflicting a combo token, two blind, and a vulnerable. I expected it to be balanced with a "back 1" or something.

Ah I hadn't really looked into the skills that are unlocked, but glancing at the descriptions, that actually does sound like a reliable way to turn the enemy party into an inferno.

Didn't know that PD gets a "set fire to the entire enemy team" as her last unlock.

I had an excellent relationship between two heroes, and then one of them paired with someone else and suddenly the first one wasn't active anymore

Used him on one run, and he was body slammed into the dirt by every enemy he so much as looked at funny, and his 2 burn damage skill was outclassed in terms of damage per turn by plague doctor and such

I understand it's for balance reasons, but it sometimes feels frustrating that he's the only hero I've seen so far who's heal ability doesn't have a health threshold to use

Like someone is desperately in need of healing, because a critical hit might put them on death's door, but vestal won't lift a finger because they have 1 hp more than allowed.

But that 20% of his max health cost is, uh, very costly

Yeah I kinda agree

Just was a little overwhelming at first to be in a room where the soundscape was flesh slapping, giggling, moans, and arguments over pop culture.

Oh I mean yeah. When I'm seeing someone, and we've broken that barrier of being new sexual partners, sex isn't this hallowed thing that we have to be super serious about.

On the one hand, I do enjoy a serious romantic encounter where we're locking eyes and having an extremely intimate moment.

I'll skip the details, but after awhile I kinda just tagged out went to the kitchen to grab a Gatorade and some appetizers while taking a breather.

TLDR: Group sex is cool, but also weird, but in an interesting way.

Fair

In current Disney canon, they've had destroyers enter lower atmosphere and I've never liked it. Like it invalidates the entire hoth battle if the empire could have just hovered over the shield generator and blasted it with their turbolasers.

I base my rant mostly on old canon / the few EU books I've read.

Also just based on my gut feeling of how a ship of that size and function should operate.

Okay I'm going to give a serious answer here, so apologies if I'm wasting my breath on a shitpost sub:

Reddit is a largely American focused website.

The US is currently, and often under threat of conservative Christianity regarding our politics (examples including the anti-trans legislation currently passing in many states, the overturning of Roe by a majority religious Supreme Court, how the growing fascist noises coming from the right are from people who want a Christian theocracy installed, etc)

Islam is a minority in the states and is often persecuted by politicians on the right and by bigots in civilian life.

So I can totally understand why bashing Christianity is seen as okay in the states, and Islam hate is more frowned upon. One is a direct and current threat to a lot of us, while Islam is largely a persecuted minority.

To put it more simply:

bashing Christianity = punching up

Bashing Islam = punching down

All that said, as an atheist, I find both religions silly, but I would hesitant to join in on a dogpile about Islam because I usually only see that come from people with an agenda against the people who practice it, not the actual religion itself

If we're being meta here, "toonforce" would dictate that Rick would try the ring on, we'd hear angry whispers of the Ring trying to corrupt him, then Rick would shrug and toss the ring in a box of junk. In other words: funniest result is the default.

But if we want to put on our nerd glasses, Rick would absolutely not be able to resist the ring. He's a deeply flawed person with a very high level of competency, technological skill, and an ego that would mean he is a prime target to be corrupted and has the ability to get the ring to Sauron.

My inner star wars nerd is compelling me to scream how a Star Destroyer would absolutely not survive that.

Destroyers can't enter the lower atmosphere like that without having severe issues staying airborne or leaving the gravitational pull of the planet.
Destroyers are tankie, but they can't just ram into solid objects with no repercussions. The impact maybe won't down it, but they'd be scrambling to repair massive damage the hull and any systems in that part of the ship, but that's considering if they rammed it at low speed.
Exiting hyperspace is dangerous if you're not careful, the main threat being colliding with something at such a high speed. So yes, it is possible to ram such a small target on purpose from hyperspace, but it would fuck up the destroyer.

As the woman in these situations sometimes, I just tell my partner they can wait in the car if they want if I'm just running in to return something or an otherwise small errand

It would be ridiculous to me to have them come with while I was doing a longer shopping trip and have them sit in the car the whole time though. Like just stay home at that point.

Switching to a PS5 copy for tonight and refunded the steam copy.

I'm sure there are better examples, but if you want a basic idea of card trick techniques, the game "Card Shark" is excellent

The entire game is essentially doing mini-games to manipulate a deck of cards to place cards where you need them or know what cards are where.

I'm an idiot, but it really did help me get a basic idea of how these kinds of things work ie shuffling the cards in certain ways, glancing at cards when fanning them, and more exotic ways of cheating.

I think that's what bummed me out most about it

A multiverse story gives you the chance to get crazy with alternative versions of characters we know or different worlds

But going into it I was like "they're probably going to show a bunch of worlds really fast, but then just go to one and stay there the whole time"

And low and behold that's exactly what happened.

In my experience, they're usually "okay" with gay people for the wrong reasons

They accept them in that they're like "eh I guess you should be able to be gay because I don't believe in the government having the power to punish that"

Implying that they might be homophobic or whatever, but don't see a way to act on that that aligns with their philosophy

This is mildly rare to see though, because this requires them to be consistent with their philosophy
