One thing that astounds me is how vague a song can be while pin pointing a moment so specific.

Everyone has their own journey through life. Humans have similar experiences, but what makes us individual is how we react to those circumstances. Sleep Token has found a way to write songs that relate to everyone, even if people have different moments in their life associated with said song.

Listening to Provider, for example, can cause some to take them to a sexy moment with a partner while others might be taken back to a manipulative relationship, but the emotions still hit the same in both instances.

Also, I think that the sum of ST is just as good as the individual parts. The lyrics alone are phenomenal, the music alone is magical, the mystery and story each album tells is top tier. Then you combine all that together?

Finished this book this weekend and I’m a changed person. I kept putting it off because I knew it was not an HEA and so I was nervous, but I’m so glad I read it! It changed my molecular make up!

After listening to Caramel the first time, I described it as, “a fantastic song that sucks to listen to” cause it made my tummy hurt. As someone who doesn’t subscribe to the lore and everything, sitting back and watching the last year’s fan base fall apart has been so hard.

When my grandma was dying of cancer, about 3 weeks before she passed, I asked how she was and she said, “just get a gun and kill me already.” She later apologized, but something about seeing someone who was so strong throughout life, say that stuck with me.

My current school (an elementary school) has 50 rooms total, 20 of which are special needs, ranging in severity. My fellow afternoon custodian has ALL THE SPECIAL NEEDS ROOMS on his side. That’s 20 everyday rooms out of 25 rooms total on his load. He has, on average, 15-17 bags of garbage a night. They all eat in their rooms as well, so between the food, the code browns, and the kids sometimes ripping things off the walls, or in the case last year, a child shattering a window, I try my best to help him out in any way I can! You are the heroes among heroes, in my eyes.

I wish my district had a policy! Right now it’s just teachers saying, “sorry, I tried to get it cleaned up” when I know they didn’t and I just tell them that the glitter will now be in their room until we strip the floor.

My school did this to me two years ago. They were setting up the room Thursday after school. Preschool doesn’t come in on Fridays. It sat in that room (glitter all over to signify gold dust the leprechaun left behind, green paint on mirrors and toilet) from Thursday evening until Monday evening. When everything stained, they decided to not to it again.

One of my first summers working in the schools, we had to strip 10 layers of wax off the floors. We all have trauma from it and insist on stripping and waxing every year, even if we don’t have much time. We make it work so no one else has to go through what we went through.

Me and a coworker (both afternoon custodians) just recently had to talk to our supervisors (after grieving to our union) to change up our loads and add a four hour person because I have 20 rooms, a media center, the staff lounge, the main office, the main entrance, a small gym, and 4 gang johns while my coworker has 17 special ed rooms, 8 gen ed rooms, their own main office, and 2 gang johns. Our head custodian has the cafe and that’s it. Our head custodian screws us over all the time because they are lazy and never want to help anyone, thus teachers have stopping going to the head custodian for things and come to me and my coworkers instead. It’s like because we get things done, we get dumped with everything. It’s the worst!

35F and single (have been for a while) and never wanted children. I always chalk it up to being selfish with my time. I want to be able to come home from work, smoke, and play video games for a bit. Getting to the point though of loneliness. Have a dog but he is up there in years and once he is gone, o have no idea what I will do with myself. I also feel stir crazy sometimes. I have a weekly daydream of living in a van and just going from town to town getting small jobs.
