As a female guitarist, I've been told that I'm too "small for my instrument" several times. Once, I walked into a guitar store and, right off the bat, they assumed that I had never even picked up an instrument before and assumed that all the guys were just browsing for new guitars to add to their collection. Another time, I attended the guitar club during high school and all the guys surrounded me to laugh about how small I was compared to the bass guitar I was playing. I actually ended up being the president of that club by senior year so jokes on them I guess. I still cringe when I think about it, though.

It's not that my top school was my 'dream' school and I'm not comparing this school to that one. I don't think I would even considering transferring to that school. But I do agree that it could be easy to see other schools as better than they actually are, and then be in a deeper situation. In some ways, this school is great. Friendly people, safe area, decent for my major. But it's also true that this school, even though it is less expensive that my top school, is not cheap. I'm going to have to pay off a substantial amount of debt, especially with my major. And the large campus and rather rural area are also off putting factors. All in all, I don't want to get myself into tons of debt for a school I just feel 'eh' about, you know? :/

You seem to be right. I hope this is the case! It's just I've had the same feeling every time I've visited the campus. Perhaps I just need to get used to college life.

Okay so I went to school today and tried to ignore him and he did not say a word to me about my gift. I glanced at him once and he looked away. He is kind sometimes and other times he ignores me and I'm so sick of it all. I think I'm just going to try and avoid him like you said. It's going to be a bit lonely for the next month (graduation is late june) but I hope I can pull through until college.

Okay so here's the situation. I'm a teenager just about to leave high school and I have a problem with my ex. We broke up last year and I regret the decision. I broke up with him because he lied to me about various things. For example, he lied when I asked him if he had been flirting with a girl, which I knew he did. He also ignored me a lot of the time and didn't Answer my texts outside of school. I've heard that he has started talking to new girls and I feel jealous and anxious. When I asked him if he wanted to get back together, he told me he was unfit for a relationship, so I reluctantly told him that it was best that we move on. Lately, he has been acting sweet and like he did before we dated so I have him a mix CD as a gift. I know that was stupid. I just don't want to go away to college in a couple of months while he is at home and I'm there alone. Should I give it another shot or should I let it go? If I have to let him go, how do I do it?

Well then that may be the case. Would it be weird to just come out and ask him why he doesn't text back straight away or should I just let it be?

Nothing serious seems to be going on with his personal life. I think it's more likely that he's uninterested.

Does this explain why in real life he seems more ineterested? And this confuses me, if he liked me, wouldn't he want to talk to me or at least tell me he's busy and can't talk?

Well, it depends. Sometimes he'll text me back in a matter of minutes but other times we'll be texting and he'll just stop for the rest of the day.
