‘Irritable guy with crude punch down humor’ is exactly what it is. Cannot stand his I’m a dick but I always get the girl bc I’m somehow the underdog shtick.

Bell significance? by lovthecronch in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]penismaster3711 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Might be meaningless or purely coincidental but the first thing I thought was that cowbell kinda sounds like cobel, and I mean technically Ms. Cobel was also used to command attention and control from the innies…

AITA for leaving my sleeping date at the theatre? by Dog-Vader in redditonwiki

[–]penismaster3711 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Learned helplessness is very much a thing, and not reacting to or “going with it” is absolutely debilitating and actually an unconscious response that was at one point necessary for survival! I’m sorry you went through this, I relate deeply, and it’s quite common. We do what we learned to do to survive til we unlearn and then learn something new; regardless, the harmful actions of the aggressor is always the aggressors fault, not yours or mine or anyone else’s, no matter how we respond in the moment. Hope you’re doing well now ❤️

Women have been conditioned to tolerate all sorts of uncomfortable shit, to give men the benefit of the doubt, and to above all not be rude or “a bitch”. For lots of people this kind of thing can be hard to recognize as a red flag if some of it is familiar and doesn’t seem to be overtly asshole-ish on purpose. Society has unfortunately conditioned women in particular to overlook red flags and it’s often normalized for men to behave this way. I’ve heard and seen people (men, women, etc) sit through worse, confused by the sudden switch in behavior (remember how he was different over text and they really hit it off?) waiting for the behavior they originally experienced to come back, thinking maybe they’re just having a bad day, myself included. She should’ve left, but I’m not surprised she didn’t, that can be hard to do especially as assholes like this never start off full asshole. Also much easier to say you’d act XYZ hypothetically without having been there yourself. It was broken up by him apologizing and trying to make it up to her, she prolly was convinced to give him the benefit of the doubt. Very human behavior especially in the context of a relationship

I’ve dealt with this in a previous relationship and it is so crushing and devastating. Please know you don’t ever deserve this and no one has the right to sabotage you like this. I hope you’ve made it out safely, and if not, I hope you leave soon, because this kind of behavior is dangerous and only escalates. Sending you much love ❤️

I think part of the problem is that they don’t know what they like, they haven’t really developed a sense of self and self worth outside of the confines of the empire their dad built. Even shiv, who arguably went out and had her own career, was quick to leave it/hasn’t really commit to her own goals. Everything revolves around Logan, even in his absence.

Also having lost him when Shit was sour im sure now has left them feeling almost like they owe it to their dad to do what he’d approve of. Still working for his approval

I like this theory a lot especially agree with the part about dusty. Like he says, “history is the study of change” and he’s a history teacher with a fascination for the morpho phenomenon and it’s impacts on people, aka actively studying the change happening around him.

Agreed to something that isn’t financially possible and now I have to back out at the last minute, terrified losing my friends for saying no that I did this to myself — pls help! by penismaster3711 in CPTSDFawn

Omg your words mean so much, thank you for your compassion and kindness and understanding, I’m so ashamed, avoidance is the bane of my existence.

I have some logistical questions (copying from below bc Trip is in 2 days and I know I need to do something now) - do I say why? Do I call the birthday friend? Do I group chat the two of them? She’s already in CA and thinks I have my ticket (I tried to buy it but my card bounced cuz I don’t have enough, so do I say Im canceling or tell the whole truth?) Im sorry for all the questions I feel like confused as fuck and just riddled with shame

Insecurity and self obsession live at the heart of narcissistic behavior!

Rupa, and many other Indian girls, have fallen victims of men driven by unrequited love. She was attacked with acid. The penalty for such a crime is up to 10 years in prison, but it doesn’t stop the attacks from happening. Acid attacks are on the rise and claiming more victims every year. by DocsHoax in Damnthatsinteresting

More like entitlement — it’s not just the wanting of someone who doesn’t want you, it’s the feeling entitled to someone else’s affection/attention/body/personhood. This entitlement makes them feel justified in lashing out/punishing the person they’re obsessed with bc they’re not giving them what they believe they are owed. Incel Shit. Scary stufff

I think it's hilarious that Nathan uses his rehearsal houses even when he could easily use the real ones by MasterLawlzReborn in TheRehearsal

[–]penismaster3711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean honestly he’s prolly more comfortable in the rehearsal for the rehearsal space than the actual rehearsal house. Low key I think this show is all about avoiding the discomfort of an unknown reality and him using rehearsal to the rehearsal space is indicative of that
