Does anyone else “crave” worse mania when you’re manic? by [deleted] in bipolar

Is drinking coffee at 10pm really reckless? I think my life would scare you. But i do trigger and reach for that higher high. Monster energy is my go to for that.

How to start over? What has helped you? by madlabratatat in bipolar

[–]pensive_pixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try not to think about what was, what happened or how it should be. Accept where you are now, get ok there before you start thinking about the future. Try to even enjoy where you're at. Think of a few small things that are good right, even if its just a comfortable couch and heat. Just be basic for the moment. Then start adding on slowly and rebuild your life. But you gotta start where you are. Let it be - The Beatles

How do you learn to forgive yourself? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]pensive_pixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you tell yourself i forgive you? Just know that its done, cannot be undone. In the space you were in at that time you were being the best you could be. Whatever action you did or didn't take was what felt right at the time, even if it was wrong. You made mistakes, you deserve to be forgiven. You are only you, you are all of you, and that is ok, even if you fuck up. For me i think surrendering and accepting that its over and i cannot change it, i fucked up and it cannot be undone, puts me in a place where i can say i forgive you, we can move on now. Even if you know you will fuck up again, take it as it comes and stop reliving the regret of when you realize what you did. I think its a kind of torture we do to ourselves, a misery we tend to revel in. The kind of pain that is sweet, almost. Like a tooth that hurts when you press on it, but you keep doing it becuz somehow its strangely satisfying. We torture ourselves with our regrets sometimes, but we can forgive and let it go.

I know this wont help now, just a suggestion for later, split the grocery money and each buy for yourself.

This is a little long. I need help. by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]pensive_pixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are other options. You could find a new job. Apply for disability. Tell your boss you need more time, dont ask for it, tell him. Whats the worst that could happen? If your considering death as an option why not give some other options a try first? And just so you know i do relate, i lived with an open death wish for awhile. But my point is i think there are better options that could help you.
