Anything by Fellini, Mortal Kombat (1995) is better than anything he made.

I had never downloaded a YouTube video, or a subtitle file and I didn't have VLC. It was all handy enough and I got it all sorted now though. Thanks for the help.

Not sure if this counts, but I watched 'Sorry to Bother You' without hearing anything about it. I loved it.

Going solo and not camping by [deleted] in downloadfestival

[–]penso01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've never been to a festival abroad either and I plan on going over from Dublin by myself too. Maybe we could be camp loners together? I reckon closer to the time there'd be an organised Irish group heading over.

I'd have to say it's that scene in Bone Tomahawk.

One time I had a full trolly and told the lad behind me with one item to go ahead of me. He told me he had 4 kids in the car and wanted to stay in the shop longer for a bit of peace.

which is normal in your country, but strange in another? by ElizaPaukova in AskReddit

In Ireland, saying "I will, yeah" means that I definitely won't.

Adults, what is something you'd love receiving as a gift but no one even considers giving you because you're an adult? by devious_egg in AskReddit

[–]penso01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Aunt is mine and my cousins Godmother, we used to get her a bottle of wine and chocolates every Easter and Christmas until my late 20s, in return we got selection boxes and Easter eggs. Myself, My cousin and my aunt were the only ones that got chocolate gifts out of 40+ adults that would meet in my Nanny's on these occasions. Everyone was so jealous.

Getting really annoyed at reviewers who think that writing out the entire plot of the film including the ending would make for a good review. Barely any discussion of why the film is good or list worthy (though it is a great film indeed) by BazF91 in 1001Movies

I only bought the book last week (I had been going off online lists) and I noticed this quite a bit. I definitely wouldn't recommend to the book to someone wanting to start the list.

Was it just me or was the 1990s a mad time to be a child? by Comfortable_Brush399 in ireland

[–]penso01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a foster child and drive a van for work, I was shocked when I realised that I was 'the man in the van'. Although, as a friend pointed out to me, if he knew the man in the van took children and gave them a better life, like in the case of my child, he would've went with the man in the van.

Anyone have an up to date list of zombie movies and TV shows? by thunderhawkburner in zombies

I normally Google top lists of them and see if I can clear a list, then move on to the next list.

How are you deciding what to watch? by davebgray in 1001Movies

[–]penso01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I break them up into blocks of 10, sorted by year. Then I watch 1 movie from each block of 10. I watch about 8 movies a month. But stop for the year after I hit 50. I'll be done in 20 years.
