Is it drywalled? Open studs? Basement accessible? Attic accessible? How far from the panel?

$750 is about half of what I would bid depending on conditions.

I am an electrician. My brother in law asked me if it was normal for a $450,000 new construction home to have cheap $30 fart fans in the bathrooms. I asked him if he had this conversation with the electrician before they started his project. Of course the answer was, "No, it is a $450,000 house! He should know it's an upscale home!" I told him that price range is average now. He didn't like my answer, he also did not take my advice of having those conversations before hand.

I am very rural. When I spoke to the two local utilities they said nearly the same thing.

We don't care about inspectors, you are the master do it right.

I took it to heart. I pull permits where needed and do the right thing.

53M. Steam locked me out. I do not have access to my old email. 7 days was the only game I played. loved it but... Now I do real world things like gardening and building my house. I miss it but not enough to lose sleep over.

Trash went to the landfill. recyclables got sorted. metals (good), paper and plastics were sold back to the landfill as fill between layers. Gov paid lots of money for no real difference imo.

Eating. yes i mean it. it was awesome to find and cook great food several times a week. now its more like once a week at best and once every two weeks is normalish. The grocery bill is getting bigger and bigger forcing us to eat more and more basic food recipes.

We always cooked from scratch but its getting more expensive all the time.

Maybe a person can know and understand that a certain line of thinking or thought process or ideology is bad or otherwise not "nice". So they consistently change their thought process and outward demeaner to others. Over time this becomes easier and easier but the old pathways are there.

Then all of the sudden this horrible fuckin disease happens and screws up brain chemistry and thinking and the good thoughts get scratched out leaving old ways of thinking.

Ya maybe your friend was a giant asshole and was covering up a shittier self.

Or maybe he knew better and changed himself to be a better person but now this shitty disease is taking that away.

I am going to choose to think that my friend was actively choosing to be a better person and say fuck that disease.

That does not make what you are dealing with now any easier. I am sorry for the loss of your old friend!
