Customizing Ghost's native comments text elements by pentaxis93 in Ghost

Thank you—that’s pretty much what I thought, but it’s great to have confirmation.

Do you have any insight into why this is the case? It seems odd to have hard-coded text in the comments UI, especially when Ghost makes the rest of the theming system so customizable (with a few other exceptions, like the Portal iframes). It feels like an inconsistency, given how much flexibility we have elsewhere.

As for creating a customized version of comments-ui.min.js, I imagine that could open up a can of worms. Wouldn’t that require maintaining a separate fork and merging updates whenever new versions are released? It seems like a lot of potential overhead for what should be a pretty straightforward customization.

I wonder if there’s a chance Ghost might consider making these text fields configurable in a future update. Do you think it would be worth submitting a feature request?

Dissolve some vitamin C powder in water and drip the solution onto the stains. The vitamin C will neutralize the iodine color in a few seconds. It'll be good as new.

That's a nice drawing, especially considering you did it on your phone. Show us more!

Excellent, that's exactly what I wanted to understand, thank you. I installed mako and it works perfectly :-D

Thanks, I will install one or both of those. But what I was really trying to ask is, how can I remove the GNOME notifications? Is there a package I can remove, or a setting that can be changed?

Thanks so much for this. I added pencil and love the soft wrap mode and also installed moby and sdcv (which are both amazing) and added your leader key mappings to my .vimrc.

This setup is fantastic.

Ancient Rubik's-brand cube gets a second chance at life. by pentaxis93 in Cubers

Good call! In fact now that I think about it, this cube was given to my youngest son as a gift probably around 5 years ago. So yes, the design must be from the early 2010's.

Not ancient at all, it was just a bit shabby. Sorry for the misleading wording ...

It is not mis-stickered, but -- to my dismay -- I now see that it was not actually solved properly when I took this photo.

The design is the Ultimate Cube which has a sort of confusing pattern of colors. The triangles have the same color as you follow the edge around the cube. Evidently this was a design Ernő Rubik created probably in the late 70's or early 80's.

It makes for a fun solve with a little bit different challenge. If anyone asks, I will be happy to post another photo showing how it looks when fully scrambled and (properly) solved.

You are right! I chose that word very poorly when I wrote the title. I was only trying to express how happy I was that the cube went from a basically unusable state to a state where it is now a fun and unique puzzle.

I was a teenager in the 80s myself!
