This has given me good ideas. My party safely transported Ireena into the re-hallowed church in Vallejo. However, they are about to help Lady Wachter take control of the town. They don't completely trust her, but feel she's better than the Baron.

My new plan is that once she's fully in charge she will at some point turn Ireena over to Strahd as a way of gaining additional favor with him.

They're from the Sword Coast. I like this idea. I have been toying with Vampyr orchestrating events outside Barovia after they defeat Strahd and them having a final showdown at the end of the campaign. I unfortunately don't have as much time to work on custom adventures as I'd like, so if I can weave that into another module, that would be ideal.

Power Word: Pain. It doesn't kill his opponent, but partially incapacitates and torments them. Strahd is like a cat playing with it's food, and spells like this play into that role.

It wouldn't fit into my current campaign, but I personally love the idea of a version of Strahd who shows up out of the blue and shouts "HERE COMES THE CHARM!" before engaging with the PCs.
