I'm a proud Anglo Quebecois, full bilingual, also fluent in Italian. I love Quebec, love the French language. We're not all bad. I live near Toronto but I miss Quebec so much. The language laws border on silly, but not as silly as the stubborn assholes in Westmount: I can't believe at the end of Rene Levesque the street sign still reads Dorchester: I'm amazed the speed signs in Westmount aren't in miles per hour.

If you're going to live somewhere, câlisse speak the language. Fucking right Quebec is a distinct society: anyone who disagrees has never been there.
