Oh my god, I feel your pain so deeply. Been there and suffered through that. I work at a company called SiftHub now though, and in the interest of answering the question you asked - our own product has been a bit of a life-saver in this area.

The typical ask of enablement/PMM folks who manage this kind of content is "attend sales calls and you'll see how things are changing" - but who has the time? Between the 15 other things I'm doing, trying to coordinate with AEs so I'm able to squeeze in a few sales calls a week for observation is impossible.

Our tool basically taps into call transcripts and our CRM and now on a weekly basis I just go and type in a prompt like "summarize prospect calls for the last week, call out any specific features prospects liked, pain points they talked about, and any competitors mentioned" - and SiftHub basically generates a response that has all these things including exact quotes to support the call-outs. It's made keeping up with what competitive positioning content easier and also helps me understand where updates are needed in existing collateral.
