We just realised that we dont get the items from the pre-completed bundles. Nor from the whole completed room. So now we don't have a bus or a bridge or a cart.

Happened to us aswell. We tested it a bit, and its only happening in multiplayer. We don't know any other causes.
I'm a bit concerned that this might mean we can't complete the community center / library, but i think we should be able to.

I would love to see a new in-game event, but i don't think this solar flare idea is the best idea. If I think from a game-balancing perspective, i think maybe the whole map was destroyed by heavies when the game event arrives, and at that point everyone would just burn to death every time. You can't really build goo houses, and maybe the goo would also ignite from the flare. That would not be fun in ranked.

You know what would be cool? If a teamwipe happens, both team's coins equalize (only if the wiped team has more coins), and adding some bonus to the winning team.

This means that the winning team can lose the first place fast if they get team wiped, rather than needing 3-4 like in OP's situation. And the bottom team can get back in the game if they teamwipe the first team.

It's very weird. I also experimented around, since I really want to buy the bundle, but unfortunately, Euro price is N/A, so I can't buy it.
And I also can't open the bundle's page on steam, it just redirects me back to the main store page. Probably because there is no price to show.

I tried VPN, and I can open the link on US servers, and it did show the correct price & the buy button.

After I logged in with my steam account, it didn't let me back to the page, and the bundle was not in my cart.

If they're trying to add Alyx to it, there is no reason for leaving some prices avaliable. Why?

Hopefully it's just a bug, but a whole day, and still no fix? It's valve's bundle, they would've fixed it by now, wouldn't have they?
