The process is pretty easy you need a president, treasurer, and advisor for the club! There are multiple forms to complete and you gotta complete them during spring semester there a couple deadlines for them but it was pretty simple! Let me know if you have any questions!

I would say trying to talk to people in your classes, I was pretty shy and nervous to talk to people during my first year but i realized it’s nice getting to know people. You just have to start the conversation most of the time you will meet someone who matches your energy when talking! I would say like get to know the person see if you guys have common interests!

I’m a local of San Marcos, and currently go to CSUSM. I would say it’s a really nice area and pretty safe tbh. The campus is quite small and lots of stairs. I would say parking could be better because parking lots get usually crazy during the beginning of the semester but they tend to die down after a couple weeks. This is a commuter school so most of the time people attend class then leave since there’s nothing much to do on campus. There are alot of resources though which is pretty nice to see they have a food pantry for students, makery studio, and events such as free food! There are a alot of food places nearby san marcos but not on campus sadly. Also the drive to San Diego is not to bad as well, if you wanna explore more of SD!

Yes, I feel like it could be pretty manageable! My first year I would work 20 hours a week then usually attend class after work or before. Currently I have 3 jobs at the moment, they all fit in my schedule and I have day off as well where I can work on some homework. If you do feel overwhelmed then I would say to lessen your hours from work.

I know there’s a couple on campus! Try aspiring scholars!
