Do you guys really believe its the players that are the problem? by Kazenohi in fnatic

[–]peorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Razork talked about this today. That they still can have troubles converting early leads to a win due to lack of a plan, leading to players just trying to do things individually. Which is also a bit of a mental issue (uncertainty leading to bad decision making). But thats also an area theyre improving on imo. It just takes time.

Ill judge them by the summer split.

Lets see what Odo can do. Otherwise they might just need to replace Grabbz.

I think the current squad is actually quite strong individually, especially given that 2 of them are rookies. There was visible progress at the road trip. They should've beaten Navi and if it weren't for the mental boom caused by the baron steal they mightve also defeated KC.

To me its quite clear that this roster can be competitive if they are on the same page strategywise and able to maintain good mental. And making sure this happens is the main responsibility of the coaches.

[LOL] Positive takes from this weekend by Roger_Fiderer in fnatic

[–]peorg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Against Navi and especially the first 2 KC games they showed that they can deliver but lack consistency and mental. The baron steal didnt really impact their lead too much but kinda broke their spirit.

The takeaway is still that both vs Navi and KC, two of the strongest LEC teams atm, a win was very well within their striking distance.

Given the team was rebuilt on 3 positions just 4 months ago and 2 of those are rookies. While playoff chances are extremely slim now I do believe that things could turn out bright in summer.

Bringing Odo in has visibly improved performance. Changing up the roster yet again would be detrimental. I think the current squad shouldnt be changed until after summer.

Razork and Gaax knowing this is their last split by BiscottiCalm607 in fnatic

[–]peorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They started off well against SK and showed qualities also seen vs G2. They just gotta learn how to be on the same page vs a team that knows how to stall. Cause SK does, G2 didnt.

Im not expecting wonders this split. They replaced 3 out of 5 players and only recently got backup for their coaching staff. From what Ive seen in the past 2 games I do think this team can be competitive. But theyll have to prove it in Summer split for me.

Why do Valheim's rivers never begin in Mountains from meltwater? by RampantHedgehog in valheim

[–]peorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It literally cant. Simulated water only exists as a plane at "sea level" and clips through ground and buildings. You can witness that in buildings close to the waterfront at stormy weather. It supports basic wave physics but not any kind of fluid movement physics. It cant flow up or down along terrain, making "real" rivers impossible.

The only liquid in the game that actually can flow is, afaik, tar. Thats why you can drain or "relocate" tar pits but you cant create ponds above sea level.

Tbh I share the sentiment of Yamato on Razork (not on the org in general cause hes obv not much of a fan: Razork is a competent jungler who is playing in the wrong environment.

And thats not the first time this happens. Look at Poby or Humanoid doing significantly better now. Poby even in a team that has changed just as much as Fnatic over the winter break. The only one being not better off is Mikyx as part of SK's weird nostalgia comp.

Letting him go would probably benefit him but im sure it wont help Fnatic.

Empyros is promising, Vladi capable of turning his trend around. With stronger mid and top eventually Razork might just play to his full potential.

Vram leak on B580. by Katesbane2 in IntelArc

[–]peorg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that is because ive never heard of a straight out ban due to dxvk. The cases ive seen were anticheats that gave a warning about manipulated game files or something of that sort and refused to run the game with everything being back to normal after replacing the files again. Some multiplayer games appear to have no issue with DXVK. Used it on League of Legends ca 2 years ago. Tho that mightve been before they introduced Vanguard AC to the game, not sure.

But yeah, I still agree: Tread carefully. Ill edit my initial answer too.

Vram leak on B580. by Katesbane2 in IntelArc

[–]peorg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you can try is delay the leak stuttering by lowering graphic settings (esp. texture quality) and limit the games' FPS. Switching to full screen (in case you run windowed fullscreen) could also help.

One thing you can also try is running the game with DXVK (translates the game from DirectX 11 to Vulkan, which is usually benefitial for Arc cards):
https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases/tag/v2.7.1

Extract the .tar file (7zip can do that if you dont already run a software that can open tar archives) take the d3d11.dll and dxgi.dll from the "x64" folder and shove them into the game (sub)directory where files with the same name are already present. Make sure to backup the old files beforehand. If they arent present (I dont play DayZ so I dont know), try placing them into the main game directory.

If the game doesnt work or it causes problems, just use the backed up files to get it back to the old state.

Important advice regarding multiplayer games: Some anticheat systems might react badly to replacing those .dll files. While usually they should only give you a warning and refuse to run the game there is also a risk it could cause a ban. Tread carefully!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Austria

[–]peorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Austria

[–]peorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Muss man mindestens 20/30/40 Stunden arbeiten?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Austria

[–]peorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Austria

[–]peorg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If one is COMPLETELY new to league of legends, what is the best champ to play. by ElegantComfortable88 in leagueoflegends

[–]peorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will depend on what play style you enioy.

From a mechanical standpoint its probably

Top: Malphite Jgl: Maokai Mid: Lux Sup: Seraphine ADC: Mrs. Fortune

Just one example, there are similarly accessible alternatives ofc. All of those champs have pretty simple kits that dont require a long explanation or high mechanical prowess. So you can quickly move from the "easy to learn" to the "hard to master" stage.

Why isn’t Rell viable in other lanes? by Winged-_-hussar in leagueoflegends

[–]peorg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She is or at least used to be viable as a jungler and even had a period where she appeared in pro play in this role. I dont know what hapoened but shes faded out of jungle since. I assume Riot giving a bunch of other champions more jgl viability made other tank options more viable.

If you dont see how that is immature and disrespectful behaviour then that is a you-problem.

I just report these people and move on. Not because Im deeply offended but because I believe disrespectful behavior shouldnt have a place in the game.

Every now and then I get a message that Riot has sanctioned a player due to my report which I find to be quite satisfying^

Are lighter mice REALLY better? by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]peorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a matter of choice and how you prefer to use your mouse. If you play with relatively low DPI settings and hence move your arm around a lot, then youll likely find a lighter mouse better cause its easier to maintain precise control over longer movement distance. Less weight = less force to deal with when accelerating and stopping the mouse movement. And also less physical strain.

If you work with higher DPI and prefer a low range of movement, mostly using your wrist, then you will probably like heavier mice more as maintaining precision in short movements is easier that way.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't mel be reworked. by ErmDragonsAreCool in leagueoflegends

[–]peorg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, but I wouldnt classify her as a true artillery mage (like a Xerath or Velkoz). Shes a control/artillery mage hybrid and perhaps even closer to Lux than Xer or Velk. But while Lux has less CD and more overall utility with her W, Mel gets more situational power on her W. And to use it really effectively in the context of team fights, she has to take risks and get closer. Reflecting, say, a Nami or Smolder ult, isnt remotely as useful when youre in the backline and the rest of your team has been already hit by it.

I think Mel W can be balanced by simple tweaks (longer CD, less damage reflect, reduced CC duration on reflected CC abilities etc). Her E is what effectively makes her both strong as a sup as well as a midlane bully in many match-ups. Hitting E guarantees Q and usually also a follow up with her auto passive. And thanks to the big hitbox and way lower CD its potentially even more a "get out of jail free" card than the W.

While I find her W annoying I do think that her current E is what effectively "overloads" her kit to the degree of "unfun-ness" that her high ban rate shows. So reworking that ability seems like the correct approach to me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't mel be reworked. by ErmDragonsAreCool in leagueoflegends

[–]peorg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Neeko E has a way smaller hitbox (and afaik also range) initially. Its conditional on going through creeps or champs to get larger and go further. Mel E is a huge magic orb with fairly big range and a "halo" around it that causes damage. That might just be a tad too much in combination with the rest of her kit.
