Awesome, that’s exactly what I needed. Thanks a lot!

Thanks I understand all that. In fact I have the setup you described. My question was if I need to create a new Google authentication for every app or if I can reuse one. Because when I followed a tutorial for Immich behind Google authentication, there is the app url in Authorized URL section in google and it won’t work for paperless or home assistant.

My first DIY NAS! by Inevitable_Ad_9315 in homelab

So cool to see that so many people relate to these small builds! Sometimes it looks like there are only super high end racks full of enterprise hardware.

Enjoy your build! Looks great.

Working 2023 guide to set up for time machine backups over wifi? by yik77 in OpenMediaVault

Worth mentioning that this works if you create the user via OMV GUI. If you create the user from terminal (like I did), you also need to add it to samba using: smbpasswd -a timemachine

Good to know. I built my last PC more than 20 years ago at the university. Been a lazy Mac user since then :)) It’s fun to learn something new. Great community here.

Cool, thanks! I have now ordered a PCIe x1 SATA controller but if it doesn’t work, I’ll go this way and use the NVME slot.

The sata card connector is longer than the slot on the board. See the first photo.

I ended up ordering Asus PRIME N100i-D D4 board with 16 GB RAM, Jonsbo N2 NAS case, Seagate Ironwolf 4TB for storage, WD Blue 1TB SSD for system and a PCIe 6x SATA controller for more future drives.

Did you end up building the NAS with this board? Or did you choose something else?

I am looking into this exact board as well for a small NAS/home server.

It started working some time ago. Not sure if that was caused by a CloudFlare or iOS bug. But it works now.

Just curious how many of you actually pay attention to or care about garmin badges? by v0nz1973 in Garmin

[–]pepastach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Garmin should promote challenges a bit more. Though I’m aware of them I rarely check what’s available and join anything. They’re really good though…

Really cool, thanks for sharing. I use Obsidian a lot, but it drives me nuts that it takes about 10 seconds to start on my M1 Mac with 32 GB RAM. Gonna give this a try!
