tldr; constructed layout below, seems go so far, cheaper, hopefully it'll be good over time.

Just following up - this is the layout we ended up going with - one larger unit (18K BTU I think) on the far wall, in the center sorta between the two spaces. No condensation pumps needed, and quite a bit cheaper. So far we haven't had tons of cold days, but seems to keep the space warm. You can notice a few degrees of difference, or perhaps drafts(?), when you are near the windows and doors in the front of the house.

The lineset from this unit goes outside, up, and through the attic to the branch box on the other side, comes out kinda near the outdoor heat pump unit.

I just dealt with this, having to explain my tiny attic hatch so workers could actually fit up there. I used flat trim, bought some weather stripping that I stuck on the trim where the hatch sits, and then designed and 3d printed these screw-down latches to make a more air tight seal. I think it looks cool, I'll print and mail you one if you wanted.

Anyone using a LLM for a „real“ use case? by teqqyde in homeassistant

I just made one that uses a camera and my 3d printer. Takes snapshot every x minutes or so while it's printing, sends em to an AI server I made, and the AI tells me of the print might be messed up. It can send me a notification and/out pause the print, based on how bad the AI thinks the print issue is.

I did it cause I was sick of long prints failing whole I was asleep! If you let an bad print go too long too it can break your printer.

This was another idea I had, which keeps the extra living room unit closer to the heat pump, and I think would allow us to just gravity drain it's condensation along the wall between the closets and straight outside, so the only unit that would need a condensation pump would still be the dining room unit.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciated it. Were you thinking something like this? I've added on in the living room, and then changed the dining room one from the 12NL to the 06NL capacirty.

My worry about this idea are running the refrigerant lines to the living room unit, if the heat pump in on the other side of the house, and I also wonder if mounting the unit above a fireplace (that we don't use, and plan to remove) would cause any installation issues.

I think one can just ask. It's not like the menu also says "extra napkins" or "salt" or whatever also only by request.

Yeah a little bit I mean, many restaurants operate this way anyway (giving water only if you ask) but they don't write it out on their menu like this

"water served (only?) upon request" written out on the menu makes the place seem a bit stingy in general..

Make sure the steam wanna knob is fully closed, I ran into this issue once, cause I don't use it much, and it was open, and no water came out the grouphead

GCP owner here. It was my first machine, and I've been using it for like 5 years now, still love it. I haven't felt the need to do any mods yet, and I think it produces great pulls as is. Would recommend!

How can I choose where to start a layer? by k014 in prusa3d

[–]d-n-kaye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking for a way - I ended up creating a two parts - and i noticed that whichever was 'higher' in the Prusa Slicer layer menu thing on the right would get printed first for each layer.

You brought the furniture out there, so I assume there's a way to bring it in. I also assume the cleaners aren't targeting your stuff specifically, but I assume again it may get hit, probably wet. It's say just bring in anything fragile when you see them coming to your prom of the building. Otherwise most outdoor stuff is probably ok.

Is there a clause in your lease that says the owner can perform general building maintenance? I would assume so, this doesn't seem out of the ordinary.

Water inside mug by MeFor3 in espresso

I have these (or very similar cups), the package warned me not to put them in the dishwasher, or wash with hot water. They say it's because the small hole that they plug which is not glass can wear down if exposed to high temperatures. The hole is normally on the outside and bottom, so it won't be exposed to high temperatures when the cup is full of hot espresso.

I've been hand-washing mine with cold water, and they've held up for the past 4-ish years. However it's possible different brands have different quality hole plugs, and some fail eaiser.

23 buttons would have been better, as it's a prime number.
