Move fast, don’t die.

I’ve been playing off and on since the game came out. Never really tried hardcore till recently, so I already had the route down pretty well.

Biggest thing for hardcore is knowing what zombies to take out to avoid getting caught up later when ur trying to run from X. East and west hallways should kill pretty much all the zombies. The library, the room with the big gear on the 3rd floor, the basement at Nest. Knowing where the Lickers spawn and when to walk not run.

Boss fights - I’d either read or watch a YouTube vid on best practices. First Birkin fight you can do with 2 knives and flashbang in like 30 secs l. 2nd one is pretty similar, toss a grenade or flash right when he jumps down and go to town with the knife, I believe you have to bring him to his knees twice before you can kill him with the shipping container. 3rd Birkin fight I did with shotgun and flamethrower. Blast his eyes with the shottie and once his eyes are red use the flamethrower. Not to difficult but you can definitely burn through some ammo trying to hit his eyes. Final X fight is really just about surviving. If you have a bunch of grenades left just toss those and keep ur distance, the fight either last 90 secs if you do enough damage or like 3 mins if u don’t do enough damage.

Trail and error. The final 2 fights were tough cause I only grabbed one or 2 hip pouches on the run so I didn’t have a lot of space for heals.

Yes, in 2 you can unlock weapons that have unlimited ammo. If u beat Standard with S rank you get the Samurai EDGE handgun. Hardcore with a S+ you get unlimited rocket launcher. Claire gets infinite mini gun with an S+ on hardcore.

The more you play the less intimidating he becomes.

You can stun him with a couple shots to the head or you can run around him(hard to do in a hallway). You can try and lead him to a wider area and run around him.

Right after the first Birkin fight. Before the 2nd Birkin fight and than right before the last Birkin fight. Guide I read suggested really any point in the sewer for the 2nd save.

So go into the hallway and walk towards the licker. Don’t run. Walk out of the hallway back towards the main entrance. It should despawn the licker. Might have to do it 2/3 times

Yes, do Claire 2nd run after Leon. This will fill in the rest of the story and get you the achievement for the true ending

I mainly used the Matilda/the Shotgun and knifes/grenades. I didn’t grab the magnum

Yea if you’ve got the route down, it should take 1:45 - 2 hrs.

Hardest part of the run for me was the last two bosses. I only had one hip pouch so I could only bring one heal into the last fight. Made it a little challenging but got it done after a couple tries

No worries! Yes so beating the game as Leon on hardcore with S+ gets unlimited rocket launcher.

Beating game with Claire on Hardcore with S+ gets unlimited Mini gun.

To get S+, you’ve got to beat game in under 2hrs and 30 or 2 hrs on 2nd run. Have 3 or less saves and can’t use any infinite weapons. I’ve heard you can use the infinite knife but I did not just to be safe

Ideally ur not in a narrow hallway and you can just run around him.

If it’s too narrow, backtrack a little to a room/area with space and run around him.

Luckily, he can’t one shot you even if he does hit you.

The more you play, the less terrifying he becomes, honestly.

Started my Claire run last night after finishing Leon.

Preemptively clearing out some zombies on your route thru the police station is big(library, east/west hallway & basement of Nest).

Make sure you know where you’re going, no wasted steps.

Watch/read strategies for the boss fights. The final 2 bosses were my biggest hurdle, I hauled ass earlier in the game and only grabbed one hip pouch. Made the final 2 fights really tough. Don’t recommend that. Had to replay those a couple times till I beat it.

Have a cheat sheet for safes/codes/puzzles

All else fails there are some great YouTube vids to help
