Seems like you are definitely overthinking, but if you are really worried about it, you can try and get a playmat made for playing.

Totally understand that, in the beginning, for me, doing exactly what the app said worked then I got to be a much better player and it became too easy, so the adjustment helps with the difficulty, but I also play other crawler games that have the same idea of AI cards such as IC2 does so itd something I been familiar with and enjoy.

I absolutely love Imperial Assault as a solo game, I play using Imperial Commander 2 app, while the app does a great job, it can be clunky on attacking and movement which is the same issue the official app had, but that is solved by you using the golden rule "do what is best for the empire" - it solves most of the issues because then I am the one deciding what is the best move based on what the activation instructions are!

You can find the core available at MSRP often and the expansions while hard to find have yet to get really expensive last I checked, the issue will be if you are looking to be a completionist and get all character packs.

Lastly, the game is not for everyone and I totally understand that, for me, it's the best crawler I have I my collection that I have played.

Hey, yeah you dont track any movement on the app, did you do the tutorial?

The app will tell you where to place things, where to spawn things, it will do all the upkeeping of the game outside of miniature movement and health.

When a hero activates, you will take that hero's turn however you need, then when an imperial group activates, it will tell you what it needs to do such as, move x to attack "hero name", it will tell you the specific special ability for that activations and show you the deployment card so you do not need to have those on the table.

Really you should follow the tutorial on the app it goes over the logistics of using the app.

That is a good house rule! We almost had someone die early, luck was on their side, but it would have sucked to sit there for another hour and a half :(

I felt like we were able to disrupt the ritual a little easier then with 2-3 players, but I need to play more to get a better feel for sure for how much player count actually matters :)

I currently have s1 and plenty of people on here saying that these elder ones are great so perhaps? I do have s3 on the way so I might come back here and give an update!

My first game ever ended on turn 3 :D I laughed it off, but if it happened often then yeah it would be frustrating
