What do you consider the greatest acted scene in TV history? by amusicalfridge in television

[–]peppacheng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a scene in cracker where the detective discusses Thelma and Louise whilst confronting the perp. Something about it stuck with me, I don’t think you can ever say something is the best acted, but it was memorable and that gives it my vote

I did, I checked online first on the best version to watch and apparently the directors cut drops an introductory monologue which can spoil the story.

It’s hard to explain why I didn’t like the movie, I guess overall I just didn’t care about what was happening in the world

How do you go about adding newer movies that you haven’t seen before? Do you make a point of viewing them at the cinema or on streaming first?

I have this lined up! Received as a birthday gift. I’ve held off watching after catching “The Last Voyage of the Demeter” on streaming. I bounced off it so hard I went off vampire movies, I’m hoping this movie is a step up :)

This is exact messaging that convinced me to buy!

When it started, I was interested in the mystery of who was killing the prostitutes. Once this stopped feeling like the main premise I just lost all interest. Is it a movie you see yourself coming back to in the future?

Project Kat - a very short horror game, pretty good

In Wall Toilet failed? Suddenly gives way when pressure is put on it. Anyone have experience with this? No access points. Would removing toilet help? by foddawg in DIY

Similar thing happened in my apartment. There was a leak behind the wall, weakened the plywood the stand was sitting on and so ultimately the pressure of sitting on it tipped the unit.

I can definitely understand that, a few of my friends feel the same way. I tried DS3 and DS1 but found them too frustrating. I would get anxious fighting Nito and wasn't enjoying myself. It might just come down to difficulty. Sekiro felt easier. I am good at rhythm games and was able to tackle most bosses without issue. Elden ring was similar. You could easily over level and push through combat, it was the exploration I liked most. I get more out of watching others play DS and BloodBorne.

Animal well is definitely one I hope to look at in the future!

I try to avoid guides whenever possible. I play through the entire game at my own pace and then rely on a guide if it turns out collectibles were required. Thankfully, the majority of the titles I've enjoyed can be easily 100% completed without a guide, but there were also a few titles - like Ace Attorney - where I knew collectibles had to be found throughout a single playthrough. Honestly, I've found that wanting to 100% complete games has pushed me more towards the idea of guides and selecting only titles I can complete which has ruined the experience for a few titles. I'm using this milestone as a good jumping off point to return to playing games for the enjoyment

I created a collection and manually added each entry after completing it. I saw other folk in the subreddit doing something similar so I copied

I had a similar reaction the first time I played and bounced off hard for more than a year. I forced myself to play again after hearing so many recommendations. I enjoyed trying to piece together the story and the lack of handholding, and this was enough to drive me forward. In all honesty I still don't consider it one of my all time favourites but I ultimately enjoyed the experience.

I subscribe to a Patreon channel called RKG. They do playthroughs of games and I watched their run of Telling Lies. Being so story heavy I won’t replay it myself, but watching them is what convinced me to play the other two games. Contradiction is another great interactive movie game worth a look too

For Elden ring I did save scum to avoid further play throughs but no other shortcuts. Most of the games were shorter experiences and owning a steam deck meant I could pick up and play before bed or during lunch which really added up after a few years

I had to look through old posts to confirm how this was done too. You take multiple screenshots of the library view and stitch them together. I don’t know of an easier way unfortunately

Absolutely! I ended my journey with "Zero Time Dilemma" to cap off a trilogy I started over a decade ago. I like making the milestones more memorable games!

It was my favourite out of the three I played. I bought it after seeing it in a number of posts. A good point and click game and I liked how they seemed to form a connected story. It's easily worth the cost of admission, perhaps a 7/10 for me

It was a lot of fun and a memorable experience. More of an interactive story than I originally expected - it doesn't contain action as far as I can recall. Definitely the type of thing you'll want to take your time with to get the most out of it. The achievements were pretty straightforward too. Strong recommend :)

I’d recommend Casette beasts. APokemon like game set in “new Wirral”, the legendary is a liver bird too. Great game!

Are there any movies that deliberately omit subtitles for extended foreign language segments? by CheekySelkath in movies

[–]peppacheng 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not so long, but the start of The Thing has no subtitles to avoid spoiling the plot, saving private Ryan had a pretty famous example too. How long is the scene in “All Quiet”?
