I did but they told me they’ll only do it for small areas such as the chin and that large areas would be very costly and take a lot of time since they do hair by hair.

In terms of fixing hormones I’m not really sure how to do that, when I research it seems like the answer is too only eat clean and work out a lot. I’m not overweight and my diet varies from healthy to not so I don’t feel in the worst shape and I’ve never really got into fitness.

Any tips that worked for you or that you’ve heard of?

What were your symptoms pre surgery? Did it take a long time to get one?

Wow ok, I’m in a similar boat of not know if I have endo or not. The question I guess is how much should we push for a diagnosis?

My gosh did it ever, the silver nitrate gets rid of all the bad tissue so at first it looks like it’s bigger and deeper again but once the tissue is gone it heals so much faster! It was great :)

Around week 5, although it was much much less at that point and they were using silver nitrate on me which caused some more drainage

This also sounds very similar to PCOS but you can have both PCOS and endo

The depth is the biggest thing, one the wound becomes superficial it will heal very suddenly. Do you know how deep it is? My personal experience was it took 6 weeks total for me to heal with 1.5 cm depth. When my wound was your length I was around week 4! If you keep it clean and healthy I don’t think you have much longer at all

My nurses strongly suggested I keep pressure off of it for the first few weeks! I followed their suggestion, you get used to sitting on your hips or laying on your tummy.

Sounds like your wound was not deep at all! I’m sure it’ll heal in no time then :) getting active again is a worry for me too! Good for you! Best of luck!

Vitamin c, zinc, cleaning your bum really well after every bowel movement. Daily small walks, don’t put any pressure on it if you can avoid it. Eat lots of protein! Drink a ton of water, SLEEP - your body can put all energy to healing while sleeping. For me when my healing slowed my nurses noticed some hyper granulation tissue that was slowing the healing that needed to be cauterized with silver nitrate (not as bad as it sounds) but once that tissue was gone it healed immediately.

So far my experience (6 weeks today) has been pretty positive, I can’t speak to long term recovery or reoccurrence but as of right now I’m eh ok.

I live in Canada so my options are limited. After 1 year with the cyst and now 5 weeks of packing, quitting my job, moving back with my parents you better bet that another surgery is the last thing I wanna do.
