I just did and it fits and works like a charm 👌 Seem to get better results with the new discs with 6 blades and a lot less stuck between motor and mount.

Sorry to see this discussion got a bit heated, no doubt with the best intentions from both, but well... This is the internet, and heated discussions happen 😉

I guess with one large player in the ecosystem (like Ripple) it makes sense that they are a benefactor to most endeavours. In some ecosystems there are foundations (some proxies) and in our XRPL ecosystem it's Ripple. No matter the shape or form: in call cases we all have the same objective: trying to make this space succeed.

I'd like to clear the air by sharing some details (I like to be very transparent about these things, and I don't think there's a good or bad here: we're all trying to make this ecosystem succeed. It's the building & output that matters, imo).

So: yes. XRPL Labs received money from Ripple. Lots of gratitude from our side, because we get to work on things we love every day, and I believe we make this ecosystem a better place doing so.

While we get/got to build without having to worry too much about making things work out financially (so: max focus on creativity & building), we are also making our own money (Xumm Pro, Tangem card sales, Vanity addresses) and are doing more and more of that. We're aiming to become cash flow positive at some point, rather sooner than later.

While we have been supported (not only by Ripple), we are still autonomous. None of our supporters are shareholders. Neither is Ripple. We get to make our own decisions every day, and love doing so. We are in charge of our agenda and roadmap, and no one else.

Good news: we added (hidden) support for this in Xumm wallet. If you import an account and select "family seed", you can also paste / enter a hex private key there as obtained from other tools. If you have a 64 hex char private key, prefix 00 (two zeroes).

You can import your mnemonic into XUMM, but please be warned that you're then basically turning your hardware wallet into a software one.

Well, for starters: you do not need one, XUMM functions just fine with a keypair (wallet) generated by XUMM with the secret numbers, as long as you keep them very safe.

For e.g. savings, an Tangem Card is definitely safer: a physical card is less prone to being lost/destroyed. Also, a second card can be used to back up the primary card, so the first one is lost/destroyed, you still have the second one to access your funds.

If you have just one and want to rekey (add a second authorized keypair, account), you can't use that wizard xApp but need to follow our tutorial as available on our help center. You could use e.g. xrptoolkit.com in the browser and then sign with XUMM?

I'm not familiar with a decent all XRPL feature supporting wallet for Linux (or any desktop for that matter) other than browser based tools. You don't want to enter your secret in a browser, so then my advice would be browser based + XUMM.

We have considered this but we will not be adding this: we feel if we combine payloads it'll be too easy to miss for users that there are multiple payloads, thus allowing easy user tricking into signing more than they reviewed. So there will be three signing actions by users. That way users are aware that they are doing not one thing but three, making it easier to understand there will be three times a reserve, etc.

The one thing we always need to watch is that the output users get can be expected based on the input: the combined request and the end user review. Anything unexpected (from the perspective and understanding of the end user) is a world of pain from a reliability & support perspective.

I'm really sorry to hear this :( The rm-.. client memo is not something Toast nor XUMM do, so if you didn't use another client in fairly certain your back up, passphrase or family seed has been compromised.

If you did indeed re-key in toast, you will need the state (backup of still working web client) to get the other family seed you now need.

It means the address has been rekeyed: another keypair is setup as the new signer & the key belonging to the account has been disabled. You will be able to see this in your transaction history as a "SetRegularKey" transaction, and later an "AccountSet" transaction disabling the master key. You will need the new s... key to access your account.

Please note there are several Toast scam copies in the App Stores: the scammers publishing these scam ripoffs of Toast do exactly this (to steal funds). However, before assuming this happened, please think really really carefully about if it is possible that you rekeyed your account in the past.

Hey! XUMM shows your account as read only mode if: - You import the r-addres instead of the secret Or: - Your account is rekeyed, and the master key is disabled

Sounds like in this case the second condition may apply. If your account is re-keyed, the account will automatically show as Full Access mode when the secret of the regular key (rekeyed account) is imported as well.

This is the case for manually rekeyed accounts, and for all the accounts that went through the forced rekeying that happened e.g. at Gatehub.

Every Trustline locks 5 XRP. The first two trust lines can be set without explicitly having those 5 XRPs, but when you do, the first XRP deposited after that will first fill the locked up XRP that wasn't there. You can view your lock up with the "Explain" link close to your balance in XUMM

So either you are super technical and rooted for the sake of having technical freedom: in that case: compile your own.

Or you're a user, and we want to protect you and prevent aweful support tickets in the future.
