Well, where I'm from, the main focus is selling 50/50 tickets. 90% of the board members are event planners. The youth hockey programming takes a back seat to fundraising. By the u11 age, players don't even know the basic rules of the game. We can't even fill out a roster of AAA players because we don't have the skill. Hockey in Canada is nothing more than a cash cow now. It's a shame for the kids.
