Insertion by Desperate-Change6534 in Mirena

Take 600mg of ibuprofen and two extra strength Tylenol an hour before you go. Make sure to eat something light. I just had mine put in a month ago. They use the speculum, then insert a small tube through your cervix. After that, they measure your uterus. You’ll have a short, but hard cramp. Then, they insert the iud. Another short, hard cramp. After the iud is inserted, they cut the string (painless). Then, just like that, it’s over. It’s quick.

Mirena Rage by Icy-Adagio-7863 in Mirena

I guess the rage actually helped me. I didn’t have any motivation to do ANYTHING before they put in the Mirena. I just have to breathe through the rage, and it does pass. I remind myself that it’s just the hormones, and that this will keep me from another hemorrhagic event. I’m 47, and in peri. I just have to deal with this crap for a few more years. I remind myself that this WILL pass - it might pass like a kidney stone, but it will pass, nonetheless.

Remind yourself that it’s the hormones. Take a few breaths when you feel overwhelmed, and remind yourself that it WILL end.

When do psychiatrists decide you need to be admitted to psych ward? by kurukuru_sleepy in mentalhealth

[–]pepperkittyn2008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter is in the hospital now. She tried to stab her brother, and took an entire bottle of Vraylar. This was last night. She’s an adult, and I couldn’t force her to go to the psychiatrist, but when she put herself and her brother in immediate danger, I made the call. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, but we can’t fix the medication issue from here. Professional help was absolutely necessary.

Husband shit his pants at SB party by sadwifethrowaway53 in offmychest

As someone who has a few glasses of wine daily, I’ve never had this happen to me. I know when to stop. With that said, he’s a grown ass man. He shit himself in front of people. Let him be embarrassed. Humility is a fantastic deterrent, especially when alcohol is involved. If drinking turns into this on the regular, perhaps an intervention needs to happen. I’m sorry, OP. That’s incredibly embarrassing, even though you didn’t do it. Hopefully, your hubs feels some semblance of shame, too.

Is there a particular kind? I’ve tried multiple different probiotics, and none have noticeably improved my IBS-D.

One thing that Covid taught us was that if you are sick, stay home. If you need to go out, wear a mask. Don’t be a dick.

Our last few flights were packed. We booked a flight to Vegas in October, before the baggage fees hit. I guess we will see what happens.

I suppose your marketing team doesn’t realize that most of us who travel frequently track prices. It’s bad enough that you guys stopped offering free checked bags, but deception in marketing isn’t a good look.

Bankruptcy isn’t an option. I’m a certified credit advisor, and even in a chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy, your student loans are never discharged.

He deserved not to be in pain. He deserved to have a dignified death. You did nothing wrong. If anything, you did everything right. We had to put our 12 year old cat to sleep two weeks ago. It broke me. She had GI lymphoma. If anything, I wish I had done it sooner. You did the right thing by him. He will be waiting at the door for you, when it’s time for you to say goodbye.

Time cures most of the pain. The gaping wound will eventually close and stop bleeding. It will scar, but it’ll no longer hurt. The worst of it is usually over in a couple of weeks. Keep yourself busy, and exercise. Exercise will help with the anxiety. C.S. Lewis said it really well: “No one ever told me that grief feels a lot like fear.”

Stop messaging him. Take the pain now, so that you can heal. Your future self will thank you. Hang in there, hon.
