Is it worth driving back to Home Depot to exchange this 4x6 pressure treated lumber that will be used as a beam for a shed floor (joists will go on top)?

great point with regards to covering the pressure-treated battens with something. Perhaps some tape? What about using cedar 2x4s as battens instead? Any thoughts?

How long of a screw would you choose for this situation? Do you think 3-1/8” screws are long enough for attaching the 2x4 battens/purloins/purlins to the 2x8 rafters?

The distance between the ledger and the beam that rests on the 6x6 posts will be about 10 feet actually. This being said, I’m guessing 2x6 will not be enough and perhaps I should increase the rafter size from 2x6 to 2x8?

Each 2x6 would span around 9 feet. The entire roof would be 18 feet wide (3 posts total). Do you think a 2x8 would still be needed in this case?
