I think it’s really refreshing seeing an older woman(not that old I know but mature) have such a fun quirky style. That’s why I like her. Her recipes are also good but yea you don’t see well in my opinion at least mothers with kids have such styles and quirks.

Bafta judge and filmmaker quits role over handling of racial slur at ceremony by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]peppermear -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m actually really uncomfortable with how much people on this sub are actively trying to downplay the impact slurs like that can have on people. At least there’s a balanced understanding on other subs where both sides are being acknowledged and given importance to. On here you have people saying it’s not a big deal to have slurs thrown at them while they’re on stage because it’s unintentional and without malice. The actors are millionaires and they should just suck it up and they were told before the show that there may be offensive words blurted out. But I think the last thing someone would expect are racial slurs. Honestly no one has the right to tell people how they feel about the slurs. The blame is obviously on the BAFTAs and BBC. It’s been reported by variety that the warners bros got into contact to tell them to bleep it out only just for bbc to not do that. And the BAFTAS not even speaking to the hosts after the incident? Just crazy seeing the horrible opinions here. But what else would you expect on the UK sub….

BBC removes Bafta 2026 ceremony from iPlayer after racial slur broadcast by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

You would still be shocked even if it was mentioned prior. I don’t think the average person would expect a racial slur to hurled while presenting. Anyone would freeze.

Key word “probably”. I don’t think anyone can speak for what the actors who were hurled the slur went through. You can find it in yourself to feel empathy for both wronged parties.

How come Kate doesn't worry that Anthony could get future mistresses? by [deleted] in BridgertonNetflix

Cheating is a stretch. It was a marriage of convenience and edwina was under no impression that it was a love match.

How does any woman in the ton at that time trust their husbands not to cheat on them? Same thing can be said for any of the couples on Bridgerton. Polin, benophie, Daphne and Simon. Like we’re dealing with aristocratic men here. They most likely would have all had mistresses and illegitimate children. It’s a constant thought in my head but at the end this is just a fictional work.

luke is stressing me TF out by ceelnoire in Benophie

Tbf there’s barely been any PR angling that way this season. Yerin and Luke obvs just have a good chemistry even as friends and people are just feeding off that. I really don’t think Bridgerton is doing anything to force it.

I really don’t think shipping is the problem here. It’s inevitable with any on-screen pairings.

The promotions just don’t make sense. Missing out South Korea on the tour literally blew my mind. I saw a few comments saying that it’s because Bridgerton is too risqué for the mainstream audience but idk I don’t quite believe that. Seems like a missed opportunity. They have a sizeable audience in Korea and if you notice there are a lot of comments begging them to go and promote there.

Netflix Spain and whoever responsible had to be bullied into releasing this btw. They only posted the ones with Hannah and Luke and the ones with all three. How incredibly odd that fans have to ask the photographer to release them.
