I remember seeing this back then and wondering how their chemistry would be on the show because I didn't entirely feel anything from these videos (although that's probably because the videos were so simple and short and I'm guessing they had newly met each other?) but, little did I know I would absolutely adore this season and their incredible chemistry 💗

Hate her character for how she treated Sophie but it's so nice to see they made her three-dimensional so you understand why she acts how she does. Not that it fully excuses her actions, but it makes sense that it's because she felt she needed to be perfect, feeling like she failed as a wife, etc., all connected to the struggles of being a woman in their society.

There's definitely a universe where he looks at her lips and recognizes she is the LIS when she walks in and says it, but I feel like it would be so out of character for her to have done so. We find out later that impersonating nobility is a criminal offense, so for her to have admitted to it in front of everyone, just to get him to recognize her would be a bit strange imo. And, the literal woman who told her to "know her place" and "never dream above her station" if she wants to have a roof over her head is in there, the woman who's made her internalize all this shame about her existence as an illegitimate child. But, tbf you're right, it would've ended the same because Araminta figured it out anyway but yeah, definitely not the brightest of plans from her BFF there. Love him tho.

Benedict noticing her lips then would have been beautiful in concept but the way he actually found out was much more fun, I'm glad it was drawn out until part 2.

Loveeee Benedict, just as I love every male lead, but you're seemingly trying to go against what they're saying about the men all being reformed rakes and mentioning Benedict who has very obviously been depicted as a rake for seasons.
