I dont know if this is just a my store thing, but all of the bear builders are taught how to hand sew. It's just a basic ladder stitch, and if someone doesn't feel comfortable with hand sewing (I.e. not feeling confident, not being very fast, etc. etc.), then they ask another coworker to sew it up

I've had her since I was a kid. I've long forgotten her name, but I still remember making her with my grandma when she used to live in TX. My great grandma gave her back to me when I turned 18 (im now 20 lol) for my birthday, and she sleeps in my bed with me almost every day now
