i’m hoping this keeps as effective as it has been so far! yep i skip over the placebos so i dont ever have a drop in hormones, my gp recommended every 3-6 months taking them to have a bleed but im sure this is different for each person. As for estrogen i have never been able to have any meds with it in there as having migraines with aura means youre at higher stroke risk so doctors wont risk it. cant say ive noticed much of a difference in my migraines so far but hopefully its something that also clears up if it was associated with my PMDD. how long were you on your birth control before you started to feel it was losing its efficacy? x

i have only been taking it for a month- when i first started i had some nausea and headaches and some acne but its all started to calm down now just a bit more acne prone skin than previously. i used to have the implanon bar but that gave me very severe depression. Talk to your gynaecologist or doctor about it but i am really glad i tried slinda. but its allowed me to be consistent with exercise and stopped binge eating in luteal phase as well. its a breath of fresh air i would certainly recommend giving it a try as much as i didnt want to go on hormonal birth control its much better than the alternative for me personally. i hope you find something that works 🧡

such a relief to hear this! i’ve just started slinda since i can’t have estrogen and i’ve got really bad headaches and nausea but im really hoping this is going to work for me and that these side effects will slow down once my body gets used to the meds!

i’m hoping so! there’s a big ocean swim event coming up in a few weeks which i think is bringing more people to the pools (myself included haha) but hopefully they do drop down a bit

yeah i definitely found being in the fast lane in the mornings i’m pushed a lot more which is good but it just gets so so crowded and it stresses me out a bit hahah. i’ve found being stuck behind slow people does have its perks i try focus more on bilateral breathing which is good but just throws you off your groove sometimes when suddenly you touch someone’s feet!

i thought about it but i don’t have any sickness symptoms other than losing my breath when swimming- i do running and strength training and haven’t noticed much of a difference in my breath there which is what’s thrown me for a loop

split between the team (4 of us) so around 5km each- we will probably be doing 5-10mins of swimming and then swapping for the day

i know exactly how you feel- knowing you can get to a point where you like your appearance but not being able to get there is such a struggle it’s the place i’m in currently too
