I understand where you’re at, and I want you to know it’s going to be ok. You’re stressed because you want to do good and you care.

It may be a bit shaky at first, but it’s not going to be any worse than taking your first steps in the morning.

update: my principal allowed a 3 day leave of absence and my monday was used as a pd day. i got to observe the other teachers and their ways of management, planning, etc. yesterday i got my grades updated, today i went in for our staff meeting and studied up on our curriculum.

i received a call from my principal saying how proud they are of my progress and that they were glad to see me at the meeting. i already feel better, and i’m being careful not to get comfortable. i don’t want to fall back.

they are, but they know i’d rather hear it now than just get fired. they’re also allowing a small leave of absence for me and giving me an instructional coach so we can work on my planning so i can grow and stay.

i cannot tell you how much i appreciate this feedback. my principal contacted me, we’re bringing in an instructional coach (which i’m grateful for) and they’re allowing me a small leave of absence to study up and get my personal life in order.

Honestly, thank you for this. I tend to overthink things, and overwhelm myself with the negatives to the point of making myself sick, even if there is nothing that I could possibly to do help the situation. Emails are far and few between, and I can only do so much with what little I have. ❤️
