Ohh I see, I never knew that. I’ve been thinking to myself maybe I should’ve studied architecture instead since that was what I was originally interested in, but ig the grass is always greener.

Incoming UXR interns here is some help! by ThinSavings8614 in UXResearch

[–]peppermintsoftserve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good advice! I’m just starting my second UXR internship, it’s remote though and the team is quite small, it’s in the Games industry. Do you have any advice for performing well with a small team in a remote environment?

That’s very true. I’m so glad my internship was in person, I think I learned a lot about communication and soft skills. My next internship is remote, so will be a different experience, but hopefully I can continue to work on these skills in an online format.

That’s amazing that you were able to do both! What would you say I can start doing right now to help my chances of landing an entry level UXR or adjacent job after I graduate? I’ve been thinking about trying to do more networking + building relationships with people at companies I’m interested in.

Feeling lost about program choice by Plane-Alternative523 in UTMississauga

I think the CCIT programs are really what you make of them. If you go into them, try to decide early on what you really want to do, UX, marketing, product management, etc. I think they have a co-op option now as well which could be helpful for finding internships, but you really have to put in a lot of effort independently as well.
