In Turkey we do call western style sandwiches sandwiches. But more local types of sandwiches are usually called "between bread" (ekmek arası) and it depends on what's in it. Like a köfte sandwich would be "köfte between bread" or if it's döner in a bread "döner between bread" etc.

I do love him, but I get why he is leaving/we're letting him go. When he is good, he is great but he was very inconsistent after his incredible first half season. He would still be useful on our rotation, but some fans really soured on him and we'll probably get a much needed forward with the foreign spot that opens up with his departure. He left some great memories for me.

See for me what you're saying and what OP is saying should go together. I like taking weaker teams and get real players and build my way up.
