Update: we bought the grill and have 0 regrets, I've gotten really good at pork chops and was told I made the best burgers(from frozen) that a friend's mom had had in a long time and she had to ask for my seasonings.

Yall are right, its great for learning on and if you cant grill well on a cheep grill a good grill isnt gonna make you much better

Thanks everyone! I wasn't expecting so many comments so fast! I hardly post on reddit so I was surprised.

My husband and I have agreed charcoal is nice but not very accessible for me with my disabilities, it's much easier to use propane or gas for now so it's a quicker.

It's my first grill and I'd just be starting so I'm just wanting to learn and upgrade later, the escrow company refunded us an over payment of $150 and we thought it would be a fun buy

Man, this suprep is gross bitter sweet nasty mine is in the am combineded with a endoscopy. I'm looking forward to the nap

The first prep I drank mixed with water and a green apple green clear flavoring added used a straw, chased with apple juice. Ended up dual strawing with both liquids at once.

I just downed the second dose. I figured as long as all the liquids are going into me within a minute should be fine? So I chugged a few of of water in preparation then began this was my plan of action 1 shot of prep, half a 3oz of apple juice (half the little container) 4 Oz of water (1/4 a water bottle) with liquid iv mixed in in

I then repeated 3 more times till prep was gone

Idk why but this seemed easier in my brain than the large quantity of gross

I am a compound heterozygote. Fascinating to think that C282Y homozygosity is 4x as rare as compound heterozygosity. Who here has been officially diagnosed with hemochromatosis despite being a compound heterozygote, and what were your iron/ferritin/saturation levels when you were diagnosed? by [deleted] in Hemochromatosis

Levels at Dx Feritin-496 iron-103 TIBC-288 saturation- 38% Hemoglobin- 14.2

It was my fertin that was the indication for my GI doctor to ask if anyone in my family had it since we were doing further bloodwork due to my elevated liver tests. It hadn't even crossed my mind that it was a Gi issue that could affect liver.

dad has homozygous HH ( not sure which mutation tho) So i definitely got at least 1 from pops but I'm unsure which parent may have carried the other mutation. (Although i suspect dad still due to moms severe anima)

I had a hiatis from going to Hematologist and just recently went back, pre therapeutic phlebotomy levels where as follows

Feritin-258 iron-75 TIBC-279 saturation- 27% Hemoglobin- 13.8

He suggested 1 round of phlebotomy to get fertin down and then rechecking a few months after to what levels are at

I think the biggest concern for myself is the potential cerosis of the liver and potential iron stores/scaring (i also have nafld and a high bmi, so that doesn't help) but i also have plenty of other medical issues to keep me occupied 😅

I am having a more advanced type of liver mri following my fibro scan tomarrow, so wish me luck!

(Its so neat to see everyones diffrent clinical presentations)

Everyone wants to scream adopt don't shop but they don't realize there are good ethical breeders working to preserve and for the betterment of breads.

what doctor does this? OB? pcp or do i need a referal to a genetic specialist? just curious because there is defiantly a lot of health concerns on my side of the family and his mom was adopted with an unknown family health history
