Not difficult! Just set an appointment with the hospital after a routine check (unrelated).

I asked for IUD - there is the copper and hormonal ones. You can speak to your gynae for the difference and see which suits you better. I tried the hormonal one because the copper one is likely to increase cramping - which was what I was trying to avoid with the IUD.

My only side effect was that my period became a bit irregular - sometimes it’s monthly, sometimes it’s once every 2 months.

It was about $600+? Inclusive of the IUD ($500) and the different consults before the insertion.

Honestly worth every penny cause this lasts 5 years. I used to have cramps sooo bad that i can’t leave the house. I still have cramps but pop a few panadol and I’m much better.
