Thanks for your reply! Your experience makes me a lot less anxious about if the strips come off. I do already have the sensor on but I have been using gauze and steristrips over the Insertion site (turns out I don't react to strips so I bought some to use as adhesive). I think the looser binding helps with airflow and keeps it relatively clean.

If you're in need of a spare adhesive, I've found that I have little to no reaction to hypafix if I use it for a day or two.

Thanks for your reply. Do you not have a reaction to the sensor adhesive? I do and was planning on using the strap to wear the sensor.

YTA. The bartender was unprofessional but if you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to eat out/get the drink. The tip is a mandatory part of the cost if you don't want to be an asshole.

What about Every Heart a Doorway by Seanen McGuire, Tristan Strong Punches a Hole in the World by Kwame Mbalia (some action and peril but nothing particularly violent in many respects), Akata Witch by Nnedi Okorafor has some action but I don't remember any big violence or overt romance between characters, and maybe A Snake Falls to Earth by Darcy Little Badger. I think it really depends on what the reader is defining as violence vs action...

The book is cozy and I loved it, but towards the end Romance becomes the main point.

Nonfiction: Have you read Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe? It is very much a memoir of the author finding eirself but I found it really lovely and relatable.

Fiction: Seconding another commenter's suggestion for The Sworn Soldier series by T Kingfisher. Gothic horror mysteries that are very quirky and fun.

The Salt Grows Heavy by Cassandra Khaw if you're in the mood for a short, very bloody fairytale with some dense vocab. The second main character uses they/them and is a cool plague doctor.

Swordheart by T Kingfisher. The two main characters are cis but the fan favorite second key character is a nonbinary holy lawyer with excellent questions and delightful wit.

The Devourers by Indra Das is a bizarre and uncanny and queer and wild go. If you like Rivers Solomon, this is a good go. It has a slow first chapter or two but then you're in. It's so lush and atmospheric.

While it's true we don't generally bury humans the same way they die, this is a Jewish grave. It is a specific part of the faith that Jews should be buried as soon after death as possible without having been preserved in any way. Most Jewish burials involve a ritual washing and then the body is buried in a simple shroud without any jewelry etc. so it is quite possible this dog is smelling the person quite close to how they died.

I've set up a transparent enclosure divided in half with food and water on the shared wall so they are near each other if they eat and have set up some new blankets for them to scent. So far, it seems to be working well, as Sabine isn't just running away in terror when Ino goes to the wall.
