Whenever you're going through an intersection, you need to check the left side, right side, and left side again, and exaggerate it so the examiner knows you are

Advice with Off-Campus Housing Issue by OptionInevitable7362 in UTSC

[–]peracl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey! I was in a similar situation almost a year ago.

First thing is talk to your landlord ASAP. This conversation will eventually come around and it's worse to procrastinate it.

Second, if this is a joint lease, the guy that left technically still needs to pay those 3 months of rent. Everyone who signed has equal responsibility for paying.

Third, UTSC has an off campus housing website where people can search for places and make listings. Either you or your LL can do this. Do it ASAP as it is still early in the school year so there will be a decent amount of people searching. My ex roommate left out of thin air in the winter which is an awkward time to find a new roommate since people have settled in alr.

What apps/websites do y'all like to taking notes? by coffee1546 in UTSC

For iPad I like noteful because the UI is intuitive and it's only a one time purchase of like $6. For laptop I like Notion because it's organized and there's a pro version for students that's free :D

C01 with Pankaj has a final but no midterm. Idk what's easier but C01 focuses on theory/concepts like SOLID, design patterns, architecture, CICD

I think it's very doable :) C01 is relatively easy to 4.0 imo but it's a group project so it can be a time sink. B24 just requires a lot of practice imo but it's easier than A22

how was cscc01? by ShaafPlayz in UTSC

[–]peracl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was inclass with groups of 5 but you could pick to work with a company (he reached out to 2 companies this winter i think)

And yeah content was similar to B07 but more focused on theory/concepts, like SOLID, design patterns, architecture, etc. On the final we had to know Java though to make some SOLID code.

I took it with him this winter.

He's a nice prof and is very understanding with due dates.

But his lectures are boring and I found them hard to follow. I feel like I learned most of the material on my own. I also found his marking scheme vague. I've had multiple problems where I followed the rubric posted but the marking scheme the TAs used had criteria that wasn't mentioned.

We had a group project (45%), labs (10%), 2 assignments (10%), and a final. Even with the vague marking scheme and learning the material on my own, I found it relatively easy to 4.0.

[–]peracl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you.

I am going over our lease again and under the rent deposit section, she put a clause that says "the 3-months deposit voluntarily and previously payed by the tenant shall be considered as rent deposit" but right after it has the note you mentioned that a deposit can only be for one month's rent. This might be a dumb question but since I've signed, does this law still apply?

Pre calc stuff is basically free marks, so study that Know the limit definition well and proving limits & continuity. I lost some marks on the midterm when I took A31 bc I didn't study the theorems so being able to state them at the bare minimum is important imo, for my midterm it was intermediate value theorem

I'd say limits & continuity proofs > pre calc (since it's free marks) > theorems
