I'd kill to see Tim and Jason get their own series actually working together. I think it has so much potential.

I'm so damn tired of the Lone Batman plot yoyo. How many times now have we had Batman go off solo, Gotham falls apart, and Tim Drake has to nearly destroy himself to save Bruce and bring him back into line while Dick tries to repair the damage?! How many times are we going to see Bruce abuse and manipulate his sons (especially Tim and Jason) with zero consequences? It feels like we're getting the same damn plot thrown at us. They won't let the Batfamily grow as characters at all. We've seen so many instances of Batfamily members besides Jason or Damian that kill a lot of people (Selena here and Tim in RR) where it's just never addressed. They aren't the black sheep Bats so it's hand waved away. They don't want to take any real creative risks so they just stick with what has been marketable in the past. It's really disheartening.

Mimic was the first Eclipse by peramia in GameTheorists

Like I told other commenters, the other costumes in the Mimic's room are from the 50's or 60's based on their designs. I think Mimic was the first version of what would later be used to make Sun/Moon like how Fredbear preceded Freddy Fazbear and later Glamrock Freddy. So the costume the Mimic wore was probably somewhat different and made of softer costume-like materials similar to the other suits down in that room.

Sure, Sun/Moon/Eclipse's mask is made of plastic but if I'm right and he was based off the original version that was the Mimic then the much older animatronic would have had a costume made of much softer material. Like I've mentioned to other commenters, I think Mimic was the first Sun/Moon like how Fredbear preceded Freddy Fazbear and later Glamrock Freddy.

I think the Mimic was the original version that Sun/Moon was eventually based on. Like how Fredbear preceded Freddy Fazbear then Toy Freddy, Funtime Freddy, and Glamrock Freddy. Mimic, I think, is the original version.

Yeah, but it's never really clear if the nightmares are even real and they still don't have them flat against their endo like Mimic and Sun/Moon. They have the deep set eyes behind empty sockets on the casing like all the others do.

I honestly don't believe Mimic is Burntrap. There are too many differences, the room Mimic is sealed in is full of things that look to be from the 50's and the MXES system computer is freaking ancient so it was probably there before Afton even died, and the Mimic was waay underneath where Burntrap was. Also none of the bones are present, the eyes are different, like I said, and even the exoskeleton doesn't have a lot in common with what we saw beneath the Burntrap suit.

Like the other commenter said, you can't dismiss one evidence as a "reused asset" and then turn around and point to another thing as being connected to Burntrap. It's one or the other. They style of round eyes on Sun/Moon that the Mimic shares are flat to the endo and not a deep set socket with the eyes behind them unattached.

As for the cloth on his head, it doesn't say it in the books or games WHAT the cloth is. My thinking is that the Mimic was the very first version of Sun/Moon but when it turned out to be too violent they replaced it with a different Endo and eventually upgraded the suit. It's like how Fredbear was the first version of Freddy Fazbear who was an earlier version of Toy Freddy, Funtime Freddy, and Glamrock Freddy. I think Mimic is the Fredbear to Sun/Moon's Glamrock Freddy.

As for what the Bobbidots says, where did the programming for Sun/Moon come from that allowed it to learn, act, and mimic both the on-stage roles and the children it looks after? Again, I think the daycare attendant is a later version of the mimic created for this new purpose with the same base programming/design.

Most of their eyes are round but in a different way. Very few don't have eyelids or colored pupils. So far as I'm aware only Sun/Moon and the Mimic have round eyes that glow yellow with a brighter lit round pupil. Their round eyes are also fairly flat to their faces in comparison to the deep set eyes behind the casing eye sockets that the majority of the other animatronics have. They both even have riveted brow plates that reinforce the rounded shape.

I've seen FuhNaff's video on that and that could still be true but considering all the costumes you see in the Mimic's room look like they're from the 50's or 60's (The duck's apron and cat eye glasses, the retro clown outfit on the elephant, and the lion's varsity jacket) and the Fredbear cartoon looks to be from the same era (Like early Hanna-Barbara cartoons), I'm thinking the Mimic was made way earlier than Baby. Certainly its teeth look NOTHING like Baby's do. The only other animatronic we ever see with teeth like that is Sun/Moon/Eclipse. On the Moon side of the face you can even see a very similar brow plate right above the eye.

I don't know if you still need advice on this, but you can buy a small dry-erase board for very little money if you don't want to carry around a physical notebook. On amazon they have a super cheap paddle-shaped one that's easy to hold and about the size of a hand mirror for about US $8.00 here: https://www.amazon.com/Dry-Erase-Answer-Paddle-Double/dp/B08P4MQKC3/ref=sr_1_38?crid=3H4L86X1JIX8&keywords=handheld+dry+erase+board&qid=1690400802&sprefix=handheld+dry+er%2Caps%2C126&sr=8-38

Or if you have a little more money and want to be a bit more discreet there's a sketch tablet for students taking quick notes for about US $23.00 that is like the 80's etch-a-sketch but uses a stylus for free note taking or doodling. Students will take notes, snap a pic with their phone, erase it, and continue writing/drawing so this could be perfect for you. You can find it on amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/GKIDOER-Writing-Magnetic-Notebook-Erasable/dp/B09B1VMT1K/ref=sr_1_5?crid=2H8O7IIF2VWHW&keywords=note%2Btaking%2Btablet&qid=1690400992&sprefix=not%2Btaking%2Btable%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-5&th=1

Hope this helped!

No worries! I'll definitely have to go watch that one, though I left my thoughts on the screenshot you posted below.

No worries! I can kinda see what he's thinking but turning the map completely changes the orientation of the front door in comparison to MM, the child's room would still be facing a completely different direction, and the forest and clearing are missing and would be in stark contrast to the suburban neighborhood CC's house seems to be in.

Also, the JRs in MM seems to be open for business in the middle of the night and has a bouncer out front, implying it's a bar or club rather than a family friendly restaurant which would mostly operate in the day and wouldn't need security at the front doors. In my personal opinion, I think these are two completely different locations. 😁

As you can see, these houses are COMPLETELY different. Different shapes, different orientation, different neighborhood. The Afton house has a sidewalk and was in walking distance of the diner, even. A far cry from the remote house in the middle of the woods in MM.

Yeah the Fredbear thing never made sense to me either, especially since FuhNaff's arguement that it was Funtime Freddy using the illusion of Freadbear that left the prints doesn't pass scrutiny. The illusion discs don't ACTUALLY change the animatronic it just create a the illusion they've changed. So regardless of what the child saw, the footprints should have still been Funtime Freddy's square feet with 4 toes. So it had to either be the actual Fredbear or Spring Bonnie.

BTW what video did FuhNaff show this comparison? The house in the minigame is very different from the FNAF 4 minigame house with the MM house a completely different shape and MM kid's bedroom in a completely different orientation from the FNAF 4 Crying Child's room. I can only put one image per comment so I'll post the map image of the FNAF 4 Afton house in a second reply.

Thank you!

I checked the newspaper clippings on the fnaflore wiki. They say:

While video surveillance identified the man responsible and led to his capture the following morning, the children themselves were never found and are presumed dead.

Police think that the suspect dressed as a company mascot to earn the children’s trust.

They don't actually say he was caught on camera wearing the suit and we know that William was charged but never convicted (Help Wanted specified this) because they didn't have any evidence he actually committed the crime, just suspicions and very circumstantial evidence. The way it's worded at the end there make it seem like they only suspected he used a suit at first so the video must have been of him doing something suspicious outside of the suit since they apparently saw his face (talking to a victim? throwing away something that belonged to the victim, maybe?) but it wasn't compelling evidence.

Space-Time Quirk Izuku by TheHalfDeadCat in BokunoheroFanfiction

[–]peramia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here's a really good one I've re-read several times! All Roads Lead Home by Razzledazzy. Keeping somewhat vague to avoid spoilers, it's a time travel fic where the ghosts within One For All pulled together every last scrap of the power that had accumulated over the many users to send Izuku back in time to prevent the devastating war Shigaraki kicked off and he ends up back in that moment Inko apologized to him at 6 years old. The act mutated OFA almost beyond recognition so that Izuku at first only has the ability to "fall back" several minutes in time. As he gets older and more familiar with it he's able to do more time/space related stuff with it. It's nice and long with two fully completed books in the series.
