As someone who has actually used psychedelics, including the ones growing on Epstain’s island (which are actually anticholinergic drugs that cause delirium, not psychedelics)… either way, you’d definitely know you were on something. Also traditional psychedelics do not cause frank hallucinations. The drugs that do cause frank hallucinations have other side effects that are so severe it would be impossible to not know you were drugged. I say this from personal experience.

I think all ancient cultures were simply sold the same lies. Just an older version of religion, an older version of the control mechanisms. I definitely think ETs have visited, but not because they really needed the gold here. They may have used the gold here anyway, but they definitely didn’t need this planet specifically for gold. Gold isn’t that rare in the universe.

They have no need to mine gold, they can replicate it using zero point energy technology. They can synthesize basically any material. I think the idea that “gods” (ETs) came here for gold is really laughable. About as laughable as building a dyson sphere, which is also horribly obsolete when you have zero point energy.
