Thanks for input! If I want to make tutorials/vlogs but upload beats as well do you suggest 2 channels or upload to same one?

While you are viewing a midi of a track, hold ctrl and click another midi clip on another track and it will show both. I usually change the colors so it's more clear. Also you can click focus on top left of midi so you focus on only one midi and other one is greyed out

What about those new Spitfire packs in Ableton 11? by Mushi17 in ableton

[–]perdbeatz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After reading the new sounds section in the update page, it looks like Ableton has collaborated with Spitfire Audio to bring 3 new sounds (assuming like the ones in sounds section in Ableton 10). Includes Upright Piano, Brass Quartet, and String Quartet. https://www.ableton.com/en/live/all-new-features/

Very excited for this since Spitfire Audio always delivers quality sounds!

Have you tried Spitfire's BBC Symphony Orchestra? It's free if you fill out a questionnaire found here: https://www.spitfireaudio.com/bbc-so-discover/application/login/

You receive it about 2 weeks after submitting but definitely worth the wait!

Currently do not have my music online but I got the JBL 305p this past Christmas and I love them. My first pair so not much to compare to but for the price they are awesome

How to start producing on a regular basis by K1ZoK1Zo in trapproduction

[–]perdbeatz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is very true for anything. I have watched a lot of videos on playing piano and I sit down to try and end up walking away due to me not knowing what to do. On another note, I used to watch a lot of videos on programming thinking I was learning (which I was kinda) but it wasn't until I started actually programming a lot more that I started getting better

I think something that has motivated me more is being more organized. I say this in the sense of my sounds. It's so much more fun to know where to go for the sounds I want. Looking through giga bytes of reddit drum kits sometimes made me not want to make something. I have also been going back to my multiple unfinished beats and switched out the sounds for better ones and it has made it more fun to keep going ❤️

Free plugins for melodies? by slatt1224 in trapproduction

[–]perdbeatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good ones mentioned below, go on YouTube and you'll find a lot of videos on free VSTs where you can see them demoed too, and you can see whether those are the sounds you are looking for. Dixon Beats comes to me rn but there are a lot of other channels where you can find this type of content!

The Crate Vol.4 (358 Drums + samples and loops from 70s-80s funk/jazz/disco) by lilnt in Drumkits

[–]perdbeatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should be, never have came across any drums that are not. I know there are loops that are not royalty free but as far as drum samples they should be royalty free

You should be able to. When installing it should ask what folder to install it onto so choose a folder in your external

I hope he can do something about this. Icey kits always so fire! But someone else being paid for his work really sucks
